In bottle. Pours a very dark brown colour with a fair light tan head. Aroma of cherries, roasty malt, dark chocolate and caramel. Similar flavours with mild carbonation, CO2 prickle and an oily mouth-feel. Mild bitterness and lingering dark chocolate and cherries. Reminds me of liquid Cherry Ripes. Superb!

Bottle from Mane Liquor #423. Sinister black pour with a very dark tan head which quickly disappears leaving spotty lacing. Nose first up reminded me exactly of red skin lollies. Whisky and red skin note is very balanced. The berries add a light tartness to it which is sweet and appealing. Berries come through fantastically balanced in the taste. Light tart and sourness works superbly. Heavy chocolate, whisky and berries all balance well together. Really well made and polished stuff. Very enjoyable

Sample at the White Horse, Parsons Green, 28th Oct 2010 (Brewdog Abstrakt 04 launch). 25kg of tayberries used for every 100L of beer apparently. Black with a small reddish cream head. Superb nose of dark chocolate, tayberry/raspberry panacotta. Flavour similar to standard Bashah but with added woodiness.

Bottle. Ooh I liked this one. Poured pretty much black with a thin short lasting tan head. Aroma is sweet and yeasty. Flavour is whiskey ice cream, some fruit, wood, little licorice. Long dry bitter finish. The American influence comes through. I like countries having a bash at another countries style. Bursting with awesomeness.

Scopey (3252) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 19, 2012
Bottle at the Grove Inn, Huddersfield. It pours very dark purple/brown, with a thin beige head. The nose is jam, alcohol warmth, berry, roasted malt, toasted coconut, vanilla, wood and toffee. The taste is tangy berry, tayberry, raspberry, plum, prune, jam, roasted malt, charcoal, hint of coffee, sour fruit and port/vinous notes, with a dry, warming finish. Medium-full body, fine carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. Complex, well balanced and juicy. A few years of age on this has developed the flavour and balance. I much preferred it to when I had it fresh. Delicious.

Big props to Darkguardian for coming through with yet another crazy Brewdog ale. Black pour with a small tan head. Interesting blend of somewhat peppery/spicy notes with tangy grape like flavors. I preferred the highland, but this is great too..

Bottle 423 of 760 from mane liquor. Pours a dark brown/blackish with a tanned head. Aromas of red skin lollies, tayeberries, palm sugar and plumb. Taste has the Belgium yeast character about it. Bringing out the palm sugar and plumb sweetness. Nice carbonation. Holds very well for a 2009 edition. Pretty awesome hard to believe its a stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled. A black beer with a very fast disappearing dark brown head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, wood, whiskey, and roasted malt. The flavor is very sweet and roasted combined with notes of raspberries, wood, whiskey, and alcohol, leading to a bitter and roasted finish. Huge thanks yespr for sharing.
