3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
The most expensive beer I have bought. Not worth the price, but it was nice to try it out. The aroma is of smoke and alcohol. Very thick.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from BrewDog Shoreditch. Pours clear chestnut brown with no head. Nose shows heavy dark fruits and chocolate. Very plummy and raisin forward with milk chocolate and sour cherry notes. Taste is rather balanced for such a high ABV beer. Lift cherry, chocolate and heavy raisin and currants. Almost akin to a muscat. Very dessert like. Actually pretty good

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Woodshed 2.0. Bottle share courtesy of Rusty. It pours with a clear deep copper body with really no head at all. The aroma offers up sweetness, prunes, raisins and a sense of malty sweetness. The taste is rich and nectar sweet with prunes and brown sugar covered raisins. as well as a muted sticky malt sweetened dark roasted maltiness. Man, this is just a great sipper with plenty smoothness and richness and that keeps me happy.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours pitch black with no head. Aroma of booze, port wood, more booze, cherry, licorice, and some more booze. Taste is very alcohol sweet with nuances of chocolate, licorice. VERY thick and creamy body with no carbonation but fierce alcohol instead.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Clear deep reddish amber with thinnnnn off white head.
Aroma.. ouch.. dominating roasted malts, caramel, decent hops, wood, pleasant alcohol, brown sugar, bit smoked, vanilla, licorice, fruity, raisins
Sweet with decent bitterness. Very nicely warming. Quite oily. mild.
If I was just curious about this brew, then now I just love this.. great balance, deep complexity, very enjoyable.. each sip takes you in pleasure journey. awesome brew. One thing that price/performance definitely is quite sad, BUT
its worth trying once in a lifetime.. and I know for sure. .this wasnt last time

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
375ml bottle. Pours an opaque black, with no head, but with viscous legs. The aroma is a potent blend of Vegemite, soy sauce and hot alcohol, with fortified wine and smoky Scotch notes coming through. A faint muscat flavour up front is overcome by herbal hops and peaty Scotch whisky. Bittersweet dark chocolate and savoury soy sauce come in at the mid-palate, with luscious sweet muscat at the finish. There is warming alcohol aftertaste, mixed with herbal hops. This is a very interesting one. I have always liked the bombastic lunacy of BrewDog, and this is a prime example. It feels more like a fine whisky or fortified wine than a beer as such. It presents a curious blend of sweet, savoury and boozy, that overall works very well. Nice stuff.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Not for the faint hearted! The huge alcohol presence overrides everything else with this "beer". The aftertaste is reminiscent of sherry, mixed with bitter hops which tingles the palate in a long finish. Given the high alcohol percentage it does manage to remain drinkable, whisky drinkers may have a greater appreciation.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
More interesting than great, but quite good nonetheless. Intensive aromas of malt liquor and sweetness. Taste is more akin to beer liqeur with malt sweetness, caramell, sweet wine and dried dark fruits. As said, very interesting!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Whew. 12-oz. Thanks j and a! Pours nearly opaque black with bright golden brown caramel colored edges. No head or lace, but ridiculously massive huge thick blurry legs way up the sides of the glass after a couple swirls. Humongous isopropyl-esque nose, lots of caramel and campfire and candied bacon. Sticky thick body. Campfire, candied bacon, scorched caramel, and boiled prunes on the mid palate. Long sticky sweet smoky scorched finish. Very weird and extreme beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
50ml at Brewdog bar from bottle. Sherry and molasses smell. Surprisingly light colour - red, brown and black depending on the light. No head at all. Leaves legs on the glass like a wine. Good body. Taste - warming malty brandy notes, coffee and caramel liquer. Sticky sweetness. Some sherry in there too. Plenty of burn and spice in the finish. Hard to rate as a beer but itís a nice example of whatever it is. A sipper for sure - Iím sure a bottle would last a week.
