GonZoBeeR (2155), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada Dec 14, 2008 Aroma:spicy and grapefruit hops...
Appearance:dark amber,good head...
Flavor:taste liek a barley wine without the alcohol nice... TimE (1300), Tokyo, Japan Dec 14, 2008 All I got was puffed wheat, apples and pears through out the beer. It was too thin and I didnt like the hop character. Hops linger, but unpleasant. Not poorly made, just not for me. Rune (2744), Tromsø, Norway Dec 12, 2008 330ml bottle bought at Luvians in St Andrews. Clear red-brown coloured body under a low white head. Spiced hops with malts to the nose. Rather rich taste of dark and dried fruits. Rounded aftertaste of bitter hop resin. Dry, refreshing and moreish [27.10.2008]. MartinT (5026), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Dec 11, 2008 Updated: Jan 18, 2009My Bottom Line :
This balanced Amber Ale promotes caramelized cereals and sturdy leafy hops in a silky, loose mouthfeel fit for uncomplicated sessions.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A big-bubbled foam ring crowns the clear dark amber.
-That caramel sits lazily on the tongue well after the sip is gone.
-Carbonation is rather low, perhaps emulating the cherished UK cask mouthfeel?
-The hops mostly participate in the second half of the sip, procuring pleasant bitterness.
Bottle; best before 10/08/09.

Sweet malty aroma with raisin notes. Dry malty flavor with raisins. Very watery, but refreshing and easy to drink. rederic (1785), montréal, Quebec, Canada Dec 4, 2008 Amber color, with a fluffy white head, but falling quicly, yeasty, fruity, mild toasty, caramel malt nose with some toffee, biscuity, nutty accents in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a toasty, grainy, fruity, cookie dough character, with some toffeeish flavors, with a flowery hop leafy note, leading towards a malty, fruity, lingering dry hop bitterness finish. alexanderj (2212), Chino Hills, California, USA Dec 4, 2008 Bottle. Poured a very orange amber color. Aroma of bread caramel and fruit. Flavor was pretty standard for the style. Palate was a bit watery. Immensely drinkable but not a huge amount of flavor. Some earthy bitterness in the finish. They need to really lower the prices on some of their beers, this was a bit pricey.
