Pours a slightly hazy golden/ light amber color with a medium disappearing white head. Aroma of toasty malts, moderately sweet caramel, honey, herbal, and citrus. The flavo, which is more interesting than a standard amber, has toasted malt, caramel, fruity, with spicy and herbal hoppiness, The finish has some bitterness. This more than met my expectations. The cost is a bit prohibitive. johninmelb (692), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England

Pours a slightly muddy amber with legs to beat the band. Flavour is deeply malty with a gentle freshness underpinning from the hops. Finish is long and moreish. A sterling amber ale and a credit to the style. mattmc1973 (304), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA

Aroma of hops, caramel, apple, and rye. Taste is malty, with citrus hop bite, and a taste of tart fruits (like apples). Medium bodied with crisp carbonation. Good quenching drinker. osu97gp (171), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Flavor is of pine hops with a pretty bitter finish. I bought this on sale for much less than its usual cost, but would have paid paid full price. A good beer. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

The best way that I can describe it is that it is more like a rye pale ale than an amber ale. Besides having a true amber color (some might call it more gold than what some consider amber), it is definitely more of a pale ale than anything since a good level of pine/resiny hops dominate and there is a moderate level of bitterness. There is also a really nice dry quality and slight spiciness that brings rye to mind. I like this beer quite a bit. Definitely very good and quite sessionable. This is my kind of "amber" beer!

Poured a clear golden color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting and had good lacing. Good citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body with a smooth and soft carbonation. Moderate well balanced hoppy flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration.
Good brew. 1FastSTi (2557), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
