Bottle at La Capsule. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is pure Christmas pudding, nutmeg, raisin, cinnamon. Flavour is light moderate sweet and bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.

(Bottle) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty spicy nose with ginger, liquorice, dark bread, ginger biscuits, brown sugar and a touch of chocolate. Malty, spicy taste with notes of ginger, liquorice, cocoa, black rye bread, lots of gingerbread and a certain spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, mainly dry. Brings me back to mom’s gingerbread at Christmas (and makes me sound a bit like Proust...). Quite nice.

Mouthfeel - Light body; Medium carbonation; Light dry & bitter finish
Drinkability - Very drinkable, light with good carbonation
Overall - Good beer, recommend it; Interesting and has nice festive feel; A little more body would be good; Well balanced

Bottle, february 16th 2013. Dark mahogny brown body, small vanishing beige head. Aroma of cinnamon, ginger and licorice. Taste reminds me of Pepsi Max with ginger and chocolate. I never had Pepsi max with ginger and chocolate, but you get the idea. Also some roasted malt showing up at the end, Sticky-sweet body, a bit unbalanced bitterness, fruity aftertaste with licorice.

Nose of syrop and cloves. Large pale head fast disappearing. Clear dark black reddish color. Sourish spicy and bitter taste with some berries. Hops at the end.

Pours reddish brown.
Aroma is great, spices, sour berries (cherries?), no cocoa.
Taste is amazing, mostly aroma notes, but mixed so incredibly well.
Aftertaste is spicy hinger, lovely!

Star anise, Xmas stollen, exagerated cinnamon, raisin and sugar powder.
Brown-rubin red with soft tan head. Medium-sweet with hints of bitterness, full body, slick texture and very light fizzyness.
Christmas in a glass and santa stays home!

Dumpfer, deutlich bitterer Antrunk mit allerlei Gewürzen und Gemüsenoten. Nicht unbedingt harmonisch, schokoladig malzig, dunkler werdend. Zum Ende passen die Aromen besser zusammen, die hopfige Bitterkeit ist allgegenwärtig. 9/7/7/9/9/8
