COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hark! A limited editon seasonal stout brewed with cocoa nibs and ginger stems.

In the true spirit of Christmas ’cheers’ we at BrewDog have taken it upon ourselves to create a Santas’s little helper for all those battling through the festive season.

Our crack team of elves, penguins and red nose raindeer have been crafting, brewing and perfecting this warming winter stout as a reward for all those driven to the brink and back in the name of Noel.

Now all you have to do is don that customary yule tide sweater and find a roaring open fire to enjoy it by.

In fact this beer is so good, we specifically advise against sharing it with any chimney intruding, night time visitors.

Oh and just remember, this BrewDog’s not for life, it’s just for Christmas.

0.33 l bottle, thanks hanniku! Dark reddish brown. Strong sweet clove, cinnamon and cocoa aroma. Spicy bitter flavor with clove, cinnamon, ginger and licorice. Very spicy, nice christmas cookie aroma, but the flavor would need more backbone and body.

0.33L bottle from local REMA 1000 grocery store. Medium-sized, tan big-bubbled head. Clear, dark ruby body. A smell of gingerbread proves that Santa might be alive. Light and rounded malt body, generously spiced with ginger in the lead. Tones of acidic fruits and chocolate. Light without being thin. Slick in the mouth. Spicy endnotes. Ho ho ho.

Bottle from Saveur Bière. Dark brown body with huge head. Nose of spices, ginger and cinammon. Taste is also quite spicy, some malts and caramel with cinnamon notes. Then the ginger kicks in at the end turning into a sweetbread flavour. Not really my type of beer. But can enjoy its uniqueness. There is a BrewDog!

330 ml bottle, batch #297, bought at Coop OBS, Bryne. ABV is 4.7%. Dark brown to black colour, big beige head. Strong sweetish aroma of ginger, cocoa and oranges. Light bodied, can’t be expected to be a match for its big brother Santa Paws. Fairly refreshing flavour, not very sweet, strong notes of ginger and cocoa, bitter and peppery finish. Seems somewhat unbalanced with all its spiciness, lacks a malty backbone.

330 ml bottle. BBE 29.09.2012.
Pours a very dark brown colour with a thick, slightly beige head. Aroma of strong Christmassy spices; gingerbread, cinnamon and wood. Flavour of slightly roasted malts, banana, cinnamon, gingerbread, dry cocoa with mild bitterness. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and a nice spicy and malty finish. A light Christmassy beer without too much spices. Good one.

Spicy aroma with gingerbread, cinnamon and hints of metal. Flavour has cinnamon, gingerbread and hints of ashes. Too spicy aftertaste and a bit watery palate.

stobbe74 (3788) - DENMARK - DEC 12, 2010
Bottle. Pours a clear and brown beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt, sweetness and spices with cloves and cinnamon. The flavor follows the nose closely. The palate is sweetness and spices. Overall an average beer with too many spices and a lot of sweetness.
