3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
(Bottled, rated 2011-11-04) Clear, very dark reddish brown with a smallish but lasting, beige head. Perfumy aroma with plenty of Xmas spices, especially cloves and cardamom, with a touch of anise. Very Xmas-spicy flavor is perfumy, lightly licoricey, gingery and cherryish - but very thin. Way too thin and watery for Xmas time, although the overdone spiciness is of a pleasant kind.

UPDATED: DEC 11, 2010 330ml Bottle (Thanks Svesse) - Dark brown with a tan head. Spicy and chocolatey aroma with hints of ginger and cinnamon. Gingerbread, malt and chocolate dominate the taste with a bitter and slightly warming finish.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Saveur Bière. Dark brown body with huge head. Nose of spices, ginger and cinammon. Taste is also quite spicy, some malts and caramel with cinnamon notes. Then the ginger kicks in at the end turning into a sweetbread flavour. Not really my type of beer. But can enjoy its uniqueness. There is a BrewDog!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
0.33L bottle from local REMA 1000 grocery store. Medium-sized, tan big-bubbled head. Clear, dark ruby body. A smell of gingerbread proves that Santa might be alive. Light and rounded malt body, generously spiced with ginger in the lead. Tones of acidic fruits and chocolate. Light without being thin. Slick in the mouth. Spicy endnotes. Ho ho ho.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
330ml bottle. Very dark red body with a dense off-white head. Relatively mild aroma, that is not much to smell besides spices. I find ginger and cinnamon. Flavor is mild malty and again totally domination of ginger and cinnamon. It’s bit strange because it’s not supposed to contain any cinnamon? Furthermore there is neither sweetness from malt nor much hop flavor. Actually find the body to thin and plain to carry this massive spice flavors. The first beer from BrewDog to disappoint me, well it had to come soon or later.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE 29/09/12, 201111124) The beer poured dark brown. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had cinnamon, chocolate and ginger. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were ginger, chocolate, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had spices and bitterness. After sniffing the beer I was expecting a heavier spice bomb but the flavours were quite balanced which was a nice surprise.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark brown with a small tan head.
Very spicy nose, reminded strongly of gingerbread. The taste was not as spicy. Bitter taste with a rather thin mouth feel. Artful beer, ok but not in balance, one can safely say. Drinkable, but a bit "bothersome" in the long run.
