3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
There’s ginger in it sure enough - very distinct in the nose, perhaps slightly offputting, until paired with the almost cookie-like maltiness. Hoppy in a dry yet subtle way, perhaps because the spices overpower the hop flavors a bit. Roasted, mild, and lingering. Very drinkable stout, slips down easily - if you can stand the spice surprise, that is (think english ginger spread or ginger bread, that’l help place the bouquet)

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
Mörk och skummig. Vattning, tunn och besk. En besvikelse från ett annars fantastiskt bryggeri.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Bottle) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty spicy nose with ginger, liquorice, dark bread, ginger biscuits, brown sugar and a touch of chocolate. Malty, spicy taste with notes of ginger, liquorice, cocoa, black rye bread, lots of gingerbread and a certain spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, mainly dry. Brings me back to mom’s gingerbread at Christmas (and makes me sound a bit like Proust...). Quite nice.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle, february 16th 2013. Dark mahogny brown body, small vanishing beige head. Aroma of cinnamon, ginger and licorice. Taste reminds me of Pepsi Max with ginger and chocolate. I never had Pepsi max with ginger and chocolate, but you get the idea. Also some roasted malt showing up at the end, Sticky-sweet body, a bit unbalanced bitterness, fruity aftertaste with licorice.
