(Draught) Pours dark mahogany brown with dark red highlights. Large creamy off-white head. The aroma is smoky up front with à light unclean burned plastic note. The undertones brings light fruit, dark rye bread and dark toffee alongside light resin and citrus. The favour is near medium sweet, medium bitter and tiny acidic. Tones of smoke, resin, citrus, bread, light toffee and light bread. Almost a bit spicy. The mouthfeel is round and light sticky with light carbonation. Some alcohol and hops alongside a massive smokiness on the finish. Medium bodied.

Tap sample @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Deep amber body, small caramel head. Nose is soy, smoke, roasted caramel, booze and wood. Pretty nice. Taste is caramel, wood, bitter grassy hops and a long aftertaste with plenty of smoke and ashes. A nice little experiment, but this beer - despite two much-hyped breweries in collaboration - fails to blow me away in the end.

KØ11. Distinct plastic aroma. Dark amber colour. Small tan head. Distinct plastic aroma with some paper. Very bad. Unexpected.

Sampler at CBF 2011-05-26. Clear copper-mahogany with a light brown film. Smoky, caramel aroma. Full body. Complex and smoky flavor, sweet and bitter.

Luktar fränt, lite mandel och rengöringsmedel. Väldigt besk i smaken med en frän eftersmak.

330ml bottle, thanks to Eirik for sharing. Near-clear, dark brown. Beige, bubbly head. Peated malts in aroma. Smoked malts in flavour added by dark fruits. Solid, lingering bitter aftertaste. Perfect nightcap (Strømmen, 24.05.2011).

Draught at København ØLfestival 2011. Clear amber/brown - offwhite head. Ashtray, smokey, sweetness, smooth body, barley, wooden, toasted notes, knækbrød, nutty, boozy. Nice.

Clear red brown coloured with a medium sized beige head.
Fruity aroma of caramel, hops and peat.
Fruity flavour of hops, peat, grass and whisky.
Hoppy finish.

A lighter beer than I’d anticipated, chestnut brown with cream coloured head and a light level of carbonation. Fantastically complex nose, I can detect toffee, hops and smoked malt with some oak wood character. Smoky/peaty flavour certainly to the fore on the first taste with noticeable alcohol presence and a fruity sweetness that reminds me of toffos. Finishes with unmistakable sugar butteriness of shortcake an alcoholic warmth and the ghost of the wood. A good solid beer.
