3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika. Tiny tan head which vanishes immediately. Black opaque body. Aroma is alcohol, plum, raisins, malt, oil. Sour on the tongue at first, then very sweet. Definitely interesting, but becomes a little too much.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle 33 cl from erzbierschof.ch. Almost black beer with beige foam little consistent. Roasted aromas, coffee, Rhum, molasses-licorice. the mouth is liquor-like, of course, with a taste full, thick, syrupy of roasted malt, coffee, molasses-licorice-maple syrup, notes of Pedro Ximenez, wood, dry fruits. Very sweetened with an acidulity which gives sour notes. Hearty finale bit geerdy and balanced. A candy in the liqueur and finale a little scorching.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Varmer nedover hele halsen. Greit at den kommer i 25 cl flasker...

4.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
The first smell forebodes a strong alcohol and some sweets. But then the first taste, and it is so full of flavour and remarkably smooth. There are hints of jasmine and cranberries, but it is a very well combined marriage of rich taste. It is a party in your mouth and a very beautiful stout! On my favourites list now!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours thick dark unclear coffee brownish black with a smaller cappuccino colored head. Aroma brings creamy milk and dark chocolate blended so well in the nose. Big big beer here, obvi, bringing some spicy milk chocolate and a bit of the herbal notes from the jasmine. I think it is pretty darn smooth for the absurd ABV of 18.2. There are cranberry notes, like slightly tart berry, that end on the palate for sure.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: JAN 12, 2014 Black with scant brown head (oak aged), light fine lacing / Rich, smooth nose of chocolate, coffee, tobacco, whiskey barrel?, dark fruit, caramel / Very full body, chewy and smooth, big abv noticeable but well masked, sweet but with fine balance, and long, long finish / Inky, rich flavors of prune, date, cranberry?, dark roast coffee, semisweet chocolate, caramel, licorice / These monsterous stouts are over the top for me, but given that bias, this is really well done.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a deep rich burnt umber color with a finger of khaki foam. The nose is interesting with deep dark fruit, peat, licorice, pine, cherry and chocolate. Palate follows and is really big bakers chocolate, syrupy sweet but layered with earthy booze, traces of tangy cherry, burnt brownie, espresso bean and some oak tannins.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A big beer! Not so big like BrewDog Tactical Nuclear Penguin (TNP), but still intense and tasty. Because this to me is more like a beer, and more easy drinkable I like this more than TNP. Rich aroma of roasted malts, sweetness of base malts, coffee, spicy kick to the nose, also alcohol. Taste is great if you want something intense, with a punch of coffee, roasted malts, sweetness and quite an alcohol. Try it at least once. But I would like to taste it more than once :)
