3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Ogi got this years ago and saved it for some reason. Enormous thanks to him! Extremely dark brown body. Sweet, yet fresh slightly alcoholic plum & cranberries in the aroma, not entirely pleasant but complex and interesting. Sweet, sticky malty taste, interesting fruitiness (ooh, repeating myself), burnt caramel, raisins, light alcohol, not completely stouty in some way. More or less unique and definitely a good beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Slightly reddish dark brown, almost black beer with surprisingly lots of tanned head leaving lacing and a permanent ring on top of the beer. Aroma has chocolate sweetness and liqueur, vanilla and cranberry sourness. Taste is chocolaty, liquery and sugary sweet and salty licoricy, little cranberryish sour, slightly herbal. Palate is thick and oily. with little carbonation. Finish is long with alcohol warming but not tasting much. Pretty intense but little one-dimesional on the sweet side.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: NOV 9, 2013 Dark brown and viscous. No foam. Aroma is sour fruit, malt and vinegar. Heavy on the tongue. Dark malty berries and some noticeable alcohol warmth and chocolate. Finish is a little medical and sourish. Nothing to really compare it with. I really enjoyed it but not everyone will. I donít have the bottle but I was sure it said 18%.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Wineworks. Aroma is thick molasses, licorice, cranberry thanksgiving topping, and chocolate. Pours engine oil black with a small dark brown head/film. Taste is tart cranberry, molasses, licorice, dark chocolate, bitter coffee, and slight peat. Nice and thick with an intensity. This is like a tart version of World Wide Stout.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
11.2oz bottle, from Crown Liquors Downtown in Indianapolis, for $15. Batch 3, best before 8/2/22. Spelled "Tokio*" on the label. Very dark brown / reddish color. Thin light brown head, fades to a minimal ring. Leaves a few ropes of lace. Big chunks of sediment visible at the bottom of the glass. Very sweet taste, kind of cloying. Too sweet for anything but a tiny sip at a time. Sticky alcohol heat in the finish. A lot of molasss, light dark spice, some dark roast malt beneath all that sugary burnt malty hot sweetness.. If the cranberries are adding something, itís not anything pleasant. No dry-hop character whatsoever. Very big body. Lighter carbonation, sticky texture. Poor execution, or an off-bottle. Not anywhere as good as I was hoping. I should have split this one with somebody. Pretty much every 16-19% stout Iíve tried knocks this out of the park, this is way sub-par.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Draught at Kaisla, Helsinki. Pours black with a very little white head. Aroma is very rich and complex; it seems to have something from malts, hops and yeast. Dark, roasty maltiness features with a strong element of vanilla and sherry. Taste is rich and long, initial sweet notes fade into a light bitter finish. Extremely thick, full palate; has to be drunk slowly. Sherry, vanilla and oak are present and are complemented with sweet fruity notes. I could not detect any alcohol in the taste. This is simply a breathtaking beer.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from South Bay Drugs: So glad to have gotten a bottle of this, so I need to thank Joey again. Created a firm and delicate topping of foamed head while the liquid was a dark tinted brown with the color of a mahogany hue. In the nose, there is a bold notice of alcohol that resembles the smell of vodka or even the scent of rubbing alcohol. However, this was not all I was able to sniff out because a sweet roasted malt with hints of chocolate, cocoa powder and dried berries were also present. The flavor is intensely sweet with what taste to be natural sugars, and also carries a pleasant and delicious fruit flavor that reminds me of pomegranate, cranberries and a juicy orange or grapefruit. Truly a unique combination to have the fruit mixed with such a high caliber ABV imperial stout and still let the stout breathe. By this, I mean the robust malts really do shine through the fruit flavors and hold a dark roast character with the underlying note of chocolate or rich chocolate, but the oak chips thrown in add just that much more complexity and allow me to indulge in this beers flavor even further.
