Intergalactic Fantastic Oak Aged Stout
The irony of existentialism, the parody of being and the inherent contradictions of post-modernism, all so delicately conveyed by the blocky, pixelated arcade action have all been painstakingly recreated in this bottles contents.

This imperial stout is brewed with copious amounts of speciality malts, jasmine and cranberries. After fermentation we then dry-hop this killer stout with a bucketload of our favourite hops before carefully ageing the beer on French toasted oak chips.

It is all about moderation. Everything in moderation, including moderation itself. What logically follows is that you must, from time, have excess. This beer is for those times.

Dark fruit aroma with whisky, pine wood shavings and licorice. Very dark black appearance thatís thick and oily. Similar taste to aromas but with nice alcoholic warmth. Very fine drink for special occasions.

Bottle - Lots of dark roast, soy sweetness and bittersweet chocolate. Deep jet brown with a thin brown head. Soy, Worcester, dark roast, bittersweet chocolate and an oily mouthfeel. Bitter liquorice and sweet berry notes in the finish. Lots going on, sometime less is more.

Bottle. Syrupy pour. No head, liquor pour, I immediately regret this decision. Aroma is hard liquor, rum, did I mention that I feel like Ron Burgundy in the bear cage? Taste is light tart, fruit cake, syrupy, harsh finish, this is one bozey bastard.

Pours black with a tan head that quickly dissipates. Aromas of cherry, sour from the cranberries, chocolate, oak. Very pungent with the aroma just blasting your senses. Flavors are amazingly complex. Sweet with a slight tartness from the cranberries is present. Chocolate undertones with quite the oaky finish. Very warming sure to the high alcohol content but surprisingly smoothe. Definitely a sipper. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

"at first, the alcohol is incredibly well hidden (served at 52 degrees). sweet, very hoppy, roasted aroma. couldnít tell it was cranberries. flavor sweet and bitter at the same time, aggressive w/o being hot. as it got closer to 60, though, alcohol came through first in the aroma, then the flaovr. still a great tasty beer, though, but definitely a sipper. iíll sek it out again and have a head to head with black hole and black tie."

Dark dark brown, with a brown and fairly fast dissapearing head. Smells of wood, vanilla, bit sourish smell, perhaps from the cranberries. Aroma of, well, this is going to be a list : wood, vanilla, caramel, malts, port, marzepin, chocolate, coffee, whisky, dark fruits, licorice. Sweet taste which slowly turns into a more bitter finish that lingers for minutes. Less alcohol tatse then I expected with the massive 18.2%, tastes more like a 10% beer. Also not as much imperial stout taste as I expected, some of the aromaís remind me more of a rochefort 10 then an imperial stout. Highly recommended to try it at least once, perhaps just because itís such a complex and somewhat bizarre beer. One of the best beers Iíve had untill now.

Pours black with small head that quickly disappears. Aromas are malty. Malts over malts. Taste is sweet, with notes of malts, and some hops. Mostly chocolate and sweet malts. Palate is somewhat acidic. Quite a bizzare beer. But itís bizzare times. This beer is for those times.

33 cl bottle @ home. Pours black with a little sediment and a tan head that leaves some lacing. Aroma and flavour are dried fruit, vanilla, roasted malt, oak, chocolate, and alcohol - with an alcoholic finish.

Can only compare this to WWW and I can see why this one leaves the planet and goes for intergalactic domination, itís better all around, superb aroma, so deep and vinous, and slightly sour, and just so thick and rich, but mainly , this beer is very drinkable , very enjoyable, not just a crazy one offf experience. Split it with a friend. Cranberries, who knew.
