Intergalactic Fantastic Oak Aged Stout
The irony of existentialism, the parody of being and the inherent contradictions of post-modernism, all so delicately conveyed by the blocky, pixelated arcade action have all been painstakingly recreated in this bottles contents.

This imperial stout is brewed with copious amounts of speciality malts, jasmine and cranberries. After fermentation we then dry-hop this killer stout with a bucketload of our favourite hops before carefully ageing the beer on French toasted oak chips.

It is all about moderation. Everything in moderation, including moderation itself. What logically follows is that you must, from time, have excess. This beer is for those times.

Kita (1469) - Koper, SLOVENIA - JAN 15, 2015
Bottle, 0.33l. Pours almost black with practically non-existing brown head and soft visible carbonation. Aroma of caramel, alcohol, wood, heavy roasted malt and dark fruits. Taste starts with sweet and strong caramel and chocolate, follows by rich roasted malt with fruity and herbal note, warming alcoholic mouthfeel and moderate bitter finish. Full body, oily texture and soft carbonation in palate. Imperial stout on steroids...

Tasted on tap at cervecita bar in Barcelona, well poured with thin yellow-lightbrownish head, smells exactly the same as strong soja souce, the same one I mix with wasabi when eating sushi, & well to my disappointment it tastes as drinkin soja souce, as im a brewer for over 20years I think 40-50% of the fermentables is Brown sugar, I admit it is very difficult to create a good beer over 10º, but using so much sugar ends up giving this soja flavour that drinking it in a blind taste will let you say you are just drinking burnt soja souce.

330 mL bottle from Cervezorama 2.0 in Madrid, served in a snifter alongside MIkkeller Black, Nøgne Ø Dark Horizon 4, Black-Tokyo-Horizon and Horizon-Tokyo-Black. Pours black with a small tan head that fades to a thin remnant and leaves no lace. The nose has huge molasses, liquorice, chocolate, dark fruit and oak. The flavour is intensely sweet, with lots of molasses, chocolate, roast malts, dark fruit and oak. Hops are present, but are very much overshadowed. It is actually surprisingly fruity and correspondingly sweet. The finish is long and roasty with chocolate, slight coffee and herbal notes, along with oak and earth. On the palate, it is full in body with a syrupy texture and soft carbonation. Overall, a very nice imperial stout with hugely complex malts. Sweeter than average for the style, but with lots of malty complexity. 2015-01-10

Bottle: Literally black, small tanned head; solid sweet fruity - mainly raisins, some berries, too - nose, completed by caramel, vanilla and wood, all in all a kind of Taylor’s Port; solid to very solid sweet and slightly bitter flavour, full bodied, what else; port-vinous finish, accompanied by nice traces of warming alcohol. An unique experience…

Hopmaestro (481) - Örebro, SWEDEN - JAN 5, 2015
New version: 16.5% ABV. Aroma of wood, leather, roasted malts and a fresh lingering note of red berries. The mouthfeel is quite thick and there’s not that much carbonation. The cranberries used in this one breaks through and provides with a freshness that is really good. It’s almost a vineous feeling to this one, and take your time enjoying this one.

It’s New Year’s Eve. Fireworks are exploding all around my place. Is this beer over the top? Yes. Is it a beautiful example of an oak aged stout as well. Yes. Bouquet of chocolate, vanilla, and red fruit. Earthy like a fine whisky. Boozy as hell. A beer for one of those nights. Like tonight. Yes, yes, yes.

330ml bottle served in a tulip glass.Bottle bought in Italy @ the end of 2014. Label says 16.5% ABV. Best before 08/14/2024. A: Pours a dark brown almost black color forming a small beige head with low persistence but with a thin layer that remains forever on the top. Only very few spotty molasses lacings left in the glass. S: Sweet, roasted and boozy in the nose. Strong notes of caramel and wood. Notes of dry dark fruits. Raisins and plums. Licorice. Spicy hints. Flowery hops. T: Sweet taste followed by a strong roasted and grassy hops bitterness. Strong notes of caramel, roasted malts, cherry, dry fruits, raisins, dates cranberries, jasmine and licorice. Warming. M: Heavy, creamy and molasses body. Low carbonation. Roasted malts aftertaste. Bittersweet. O: Good drinkability.

simont1 (417) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 28, 2014
UPDATED: JAN 6, 2015 Aroma is quite tart, sweet, sherry, loads of oak, wine quality to it, smells like very very sweet soy sauce with sherry vinegar. Taste is way too sweet, but it’s still quite good in moderate amounts, no hints of what should be a stout, more like a barley wine. Superb paired with cheese and fig compote, but more a dark fruit desert beer than an imperial stout.
