Draft - pours soopa dark brown. Nose is wood and dark fruit. Boozy. Sweet. A sipper. Strongest beer I’ve ever had yet. More of a dessert wine. Burns the gums. Don’t know if I want to finish this. Plums on steroids.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft to taster at Ei8ht Ball. Looks good; a cloudy dark cola with thin light beige lacing. Smells good too, sweet and malty with notes of chocolate and light roast. Tastes like it smells, but way too cloying. Average on the palate. Over the top, and not in a good way.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled 330ml. -from Slovenian BrewDog outlet in Koper, aged for more than three years. Almost black coloured, minimal brownish head, alcohol and wood in the nose. Roasted malt, pretty strong dried fruits, caramel and alcohol with quite sweet finish with noticable alcohol also. No complaint about alcohol just on heavy sweetness.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pour a deep dark color with a thin tan head. Aromas are cocoa, coffee, liquorice, roasted malts, caramel and sour fruits. Full body and creamy texture, with a flat carbonation. Finish is long, sweet and bitter. Great experience, to enjoy with friends at the end of a good meal. Better beer than the Tokyo Rising Sun according to me : better balance beetween sourness, bitterness and sweet aromas.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pitch black color with a shortlasting beige head, nice lace. Aromas to liquorice, raisins, black fruits, cranberries, black coffee, cocoa and a strange hint of sherry, maybe wood too. The mouthfeel is very well balanced, not cloying, with notes to bitter chocolate, berries, liquorice, Porto wine, dried prunes and a touch of red wine, highlighting the oak aging. Long development, oily texture, full bodied, medium to low carbonation. It’s a massive, powerful imperial stout not as complex as expected, but with an interesting aging and structure. Dangerously boozy, tasty and plentiful. Great beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance: Black as night, tan head.
Aroma of coffee, liquorice, sweet alcohol, roasted malts, caramel, cacao powder
Taste: Huge too sweet flavour(probably trying to hide the alcohol, which it does), then some, caramel, liquorice, dark fruits, soy sauce, cacao. Ending very liquorice medical if you sip.
However drinking heavier reveals more coffee bitter. There is also quite some coffee bitter.
On first sight one dimensional, but actually of differences reveal in how you drink it.(sipping, drinking, roling through the mouth,so there is the complexity.)
verry Full thick oily viscous body. Finish liquorice (drop), lots of it. Sweet caramel, cacao and alcohol. Long aftertaste
It’s unique and I can understand the craftmanship, but I don’t know if this is something I will easilly buy again.
