Intergalactic Fantastic Oak Aged Stout
The irony of existentialism, the parody of being and the inherent contradictions of post-modernism, all so delicately conveyed by the blocky, pixelated arcade action have all been painstakingly recreated in this bottles contents.

This imperial stout is brewed with copious amounts of speciality malts, jasmine and cranberries. After fermentation we then dry-hop this killer stout with a bucketload of our favourite hops before carefully ageing the beer on French toasted oak chips.

It is all about moderation. Everything in moderation, including moderation itself. What logically follows is that you must, from time, have excess. This beer is for those times.

It’s a total gimmick if you ask me. I’m going to have to force this down just for the ABV.

Bottle, 33cL. Home. A sparkling black beer witha small beige head ; poor retention. Roasty coffee aroma, sugar, alcohol, dry fruits, wood, light herbal, walnut. Medium to heavy sweet warming ; light to medium bitter. Full body, oily texture, flat, warming lasting finish. Overall, powerful but not elegant ; nice aroma ; warming atmosphere ; difficult to breathe ; expensive...

33 cl. bottle from Systembolaget, 16.5 version, poured in to a Snifter. Pitch black with a thin, tanned head. Roasted aroma with rich, dark malts, wooden notes, tart berries, herbal hops, quite some bitterness, booze, oak, liqourice, chocolate and coffee. Taste is bitter-roasted. Full body with a thick texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes lasting dry, roasted bitter with berries, oak and booze. Quite some liqourice. Big, fat and boozy. Almost vulgar. Still great.

Incredibly complex beer. Due to the great equilbrium the alcohol (18.2%) is well hidden, allowing all the great and variegated flavours to happily invade your mouth. The beer is pitch dark and oily with low carbonation and a nut colored foam. In my opinion it’s a great ’conversation’ beer to be shared with friends after dinner.

Vanilla, dry cocoa, and milk mixed with Emser aroma. Taste is intense; very fruity. Lingonberry, vanilla, cocoa. Sweet, sour, spicy. Very sprawling, full with flavours that do not fully match. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

ASPETTO: nera impenetrabile, schiuma nocciola chiaro, abbondante, fine e persistente. Consigliatissima.

From the very old notes, hence this is not a real rating, but more just a mark to myself that I have tried this at one point. I really liked this one, it had almost berry wine like qualities.
