COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Please note this is the second batch of Tokyo, which is different to the 12.5% first batch.

Intergalactic Fantastic Oak Aged Stout
The irony of existentialism, the parody of being and the inherent contradictions of post-modernism, all so delicately conveyed by the blocky, pixelated arcade action have all been painstakingly recreated in this bottles contents.

This imperial stout is brewed with copious amounts of speciality malts, jasmine and cranberries. After fermentation we then dry-hop this killer stout with a bucketload of our favourite hops before carefully ageing the beer on French toasted oak chips.

It is all about moderation. Everything in moderation, including moderation itself. What logically follows is that you must, from time, have excess. This beer is for those times.

Pours completely opaque dark brown, nearly black, with a thin tan head that leaves a nice collar of lace. The nose is hot with molasses, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, vanilla, caramel, and burnt toffee. The flavor is the same with an added date and raisin fruit note, with the molasses, milk chocolate, vanilla, and toasted toffee dominating. The body is massively full with light carbonation and a very long hot molasses, dark chocolate, and toffee finish.

Bottle shared by Kevin. Pours an opaque black with a thin layer of light brown head. Was not a fan, aroma was okay with malts and coffee, but the taste was just too overall sweet and sugary.

Botle. This is a beast. Thick, sweet, burning, fruity, eccentric, and funky. So much going on it is hard to capture in one place. This is near perfection.

33cl bottle at home from Only Good Beer, Budapest. Body is pitch black, head is very small, brownish, creamy, fully diminishing, fair lacing. Nose is sweetish liqueurish, flavor is molasses, coffee liqueur, light smoke, chocolate. Heavy sweet, heavy bitter. Finish is long lasting roasty liqueurish mostly heavy bitter, light sweet, alcohol is present but 18% ABV is not recognized. Full body, sticky texture, soft carbonation. Excellent heavy but drinkable tasty dessert beer, great one.

Very well balanced full bodied imperial stout with taste of cranberries, espresso, chocolate and vanilla.

McWorta (825) - LUXEMBOURG - APR 4, 2015
Light sucking pitch black with a small tan head and good lacings. Aromas of lavender, jasmine, red fruit pre-dominate with notes of toast, mandarin, mirabelle and sweet dark malts arise. Really faint carbonation with a smooth even velvety texture and a full body. Potent yet hides a lot of its alcohol content. Sweet, fruity and well malt centred with some astringency. Lasting dominant finish. Balanced and pretty strong! Very palatable sipping beer!

Bottle. Pours a near black color with a moderate light brown head on there. Nose has some heavy roasting to it as well as some dark fruits and dark chocolate. Taste is super rich and chocolatey with a lot of roasting and a slightly sweet finish. Really nice...

19.7.2014. Aroma of roast, sweet oaky vanilla. Taste is very intense, roast, coffee, oaky vanilla. Very good but less abv would be enough. Its also quite sweet.

Gran birra, intensa e ammaliante. Piacevole e di ottima beva nonostante l’elevato grado alcolico

(BrewDog Tokyo*) Bottle 330 ml at home, served into a snifter, ABV 16.5% Pitch black colour on the body, a small line of dark brown head on top, fizzy with low retention, leaving no lacing behind. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, alcohol, great fruity notes. Great taste, wow! Again fruity notes, vanilla, wood, alcohol, roasted malts, liquorice coal, blackberries, chocolate cake, light grass and even some hops, moderate sweet all in all but no cloying. Medium thick body, carbonation higher than I expected but on good levels, very sticky on the palate. Very nice and dangerous, I don’t dare finishing the bottle tonight.

Rich, ripe banana, liquorice, marzipan plus aroma. Black, viscous. Thin coffee cream-colored head. Smooth and petroly in the mouth. Warms. Juices up with rum-soaked raisins. A beaut.
