Intergalactic Fantastic Oak Aged Stout
The irony of existentialism, the parody of being and the inherent contradictions of post-modernism, all so delicately conveyed by the blocky, pixelated arcade action have all been painstakingly recreated in this bottles contents.

This imperial stout is brewed with copious amounts of speciality malts, jasmine and cranberries. After fermentation we then dry-hop this killer stout with a bucketload of our favourite hops before carefully ageing the beer on French toasted oak chips.

It is all about moderation. Everything in moderation, including moderation itself. What logically follows is that you must, from time, have excess. This beer is for those times.

11.2 oz bottle served in a snifter A - Pours pitch black with a dark esspresso head S - Astringent bakers chocolate, booze, licorice, tobacco, dank earthy hay, old malts, T - Wow! Super sweet(I’m talking diabetic coma sweet!) licorice, syrup, concentrated grape juice, straight raw brown sugar, sweet tobacco juice, tart fruit helps out a little with the cloying sweetness. Finishes with a peppery alcohol bite. M - Heavy sugary body, low carbonation, cloyingly sweet. This one is hard to drink. Sweet does nothing to describe this sugary substance. Thank God there was some tartness in there to combat it. There’s good flavors in there but is just overtaken with the sweetness. I wanted to like this but this is a mess. DAA; Bottle 330 ml., from Vinmonopolet. ABV 16,5% (!?). Pours moderate, black with a creamy and lacing tan head. Nose is heavy, roasted malt, moderate to heavy chocolate, moderate oak, coffee, dark fruit, light alchol, berries and liqorice. Taste is heavy sweet and moderate bitter with lasting sweet prunes, alchol warming finish. Body is full, texture is creamy, carbonation is flat. With a "bucketload" of taste, indeed.

Aromat - kawa, mleczna czekolada, wiśnie Barwa - czarna Piana - kremowo - beżowa, ładnie oblepiająca szkło Smak - słodki likier wraz z kawą i mleczną czekoladą, w tle wiśnia, śliwka Goryczka - średnia dobrze kontrująca finalną słodycz Odczucie w ustach - mocne, alkoholowe, przyjemne, gęste, likierowate, rozgrzewające przełyk Piwo bardziej przypomina barley wine, niż RISa. Bardzo dobrze ułożone. Goryczka świetnie kontruje z czekoladowo-likierowym finiszem. Pije się bardzo przyjemnie. Procenty dają szybko znać o sobie. Jedno z lepszych piw wypitych w tym roku.

Draft @ Brewdog, Brussels. Dark brown, brown foam disappears quickly. Roasty with notes of ashes and coffee. Also fruity with tart notes of berries. Also some sweetness and a hint of vanilla. Well balanced but alcoholic. Good.

Bottle 33cl. (Shared with a friend). Pitch black with almost no head but a bit of brown foam distant present. Aroma of very concentrated liquorice, hints of dried fruit and extreme intense. Very sweet flavour, high viscosity, very thick. It’s a long time since I tasted such a concentrated beer. Very long finish, stays literally minutes in your mouth. I miss more hops to complete this beer. A bit too sweet but truly an impressive beer.

Belle mousse brune. Odeur de torréfaction. Goût de torréfaction pas trop imposant, juste ce qu’il faut. alcool.très présent mais pas trop fort. Bien balancé

Bottle, 33cL. Home. A sparkling black beer witha small beige head ; poor retention. Roasty coffee aroma, sugar, alcohol, dry fruits, wood, light herbal, walnut. Medium to heavy sweet warming ; light to medium bitter. Full body, oily texture, flat, warming lasting finish. Overall, powerful but not elegant ; nice aroma ; warming atmosphere ; difficult to breathe ; expensive...

33 cl. bottle from Systembolaget, 16.5 version, poured in to a Snifter. Pitch black with a thin, tanned head. Roasted aroma with rich, dark malts, wooden notes, tart berries, herbal hops, quite some bitterness, booze, oak, liqourice, chocolate and coffee. Taste is bitter-roasted. Full body with a thick texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes lasting dry, roasted bitter with berries, oak and booze. Quite some liqourice. Big, fat and boozy. Almost vulgar. Still great.
