Intergalactic Fantastic Oak Aged Stout
The irony of existentialism, the parody of being and the inherent contradictions of post-modernism, all so delicately conveyed by the blocky, pixelated arcade action have all been painstakingly recreated in this bottles contents.

This imperial stout is brewed with copious amounts of speciality malts, jasmine and cranberries. After fermentation we then dry-hop this killer stout with a bucketload of our favourite hops before carefully ageing the beer on French toasted oak chips.

It is all about moderation. Everything in moderation, including moderation itself. What logically follows is that you must, from time, have excess. This beer is for those times.

12oz bottle. Deep rich brown w/ a superheady nose of thick sweet booze. hints of fruits, candy, & other nuances of greatness abound. Mouthfeel is surprisingly thin syrup considering the heavy booze & malt profile it carries. Slight tongue burn. The heat in the snifter is crazy: ether/modeling glue lol . Jasmine sweet & tart (thou not obv. cran.) lends well to the style: Champagne yeast, high ABV stout w/ great drinkability considering whats going on.

From notes: Old Brewdog label bottle at Harry’s. 16.5% ABV version. Pours black colour with not much head.Malty, very bittery and thick/full body. Has some chocolate, some sweetness, bit of berries. A bit rough. Pretty drinkable even though it’s high on the ABV.

Pours dark brown/black, with a pleasant looking coffee coloured head. Aroma of malts, dark chocolate. Slight initial bitterness, then a smoothness to the palate. Overall, a pleasant sipper for a relaxing evening.

16.5 % alc. vol. 039 EBBB 29/01/26. Pours black. Aroma: Coffee, resin, cocoa, chocolate. Taste:High to medium sweet, bitter, acidic tones. Liquor. Cocoa, fruits. Honey. Very weird. Complex. Alcohol is quite hidden compared to percent, still noticeable. Caramel malt. Overall strong taste, tight flavour. Very strong. Palate: Syrupy body, slick. I don’t get it, too sweet for me. Some carbonation.

Just just. Onpas melkoinen olut.Alkoholia on niin julmetusti, että vaikuttaa arvioon. Maku on kuitenkin todella hyvä. Vahva ja voimakas.

Very black appearance with virtually no head. Complex tastes of cocoa, coffee, caramel, peppers, brown sugar, dark chocolate and orange. Very heavy body, great carbonation and a lasting aftertaste of cocoa and anise. Epic

Pours dark brown with minimal brown head. Aroma is ripe red berries, cough drops, alcohol, red wine, bit of clove, some wood notes. Syrupy initial sweet, heavy bitter, maybe a bit sour. Rather dry, long, astringent finish. Body is full, palate is sticky, carbonation is soft. Not a very successful brew, imo.

UPDATED: APR 6, 2016 Wow. What an incredibly complex beer - certainly not your typical Imperial Stout. I get liquor, black berries and other dark berries, some vanilla, dark chocolate and caramel. There is some sweetness at the beginning, but not too much. The balance of all these different flavors in one beer is incredible. All in all, Tokyo* is surprisingly light for a 18.2% beer, the alcohol is really well hidden - but the ABV number obviously encourages sharing the beer as well as slow sipping and starting to enjoy more aroma as the beer gets warmer. Drinking it straight out of a cooled fridge would be a shame in my opinion.
