Intergalactic Fantastic Oak Aged Stout
The irony of existentialism, the parody of being and the inherent contradictions of post-modernism, all so delicately conveyed by the blocky, pixelated arcade action have all been painstakingly recreated in this bottles contents.

This imperial stout is brewed with copious amounts of speciality malts, jasmine and cranberries. After fermentation we then dry-hop this killer stout with a bucketload of our favourite hops before carefully ageing the beer on French toasted oak chips.

It is all about moderation. Everything in moderation, including moderation itself. What logically follows is that you must, from time, have excess. This beer is for those times.

Bottle, thank you Colin and Kendra! Finally trying it! Pitch black, very little head. Really inviting oak aroma mixed with some roast and a lot of alcohol. Silky smooth mouthfeel. First taste is quite mild - all sweet stout and oak - gives way to lots of warming alcohol and roast and finally to ear warming alcohol in very long finish. Man, this is quite easy to drink at this crazy percentage. I hate using the word smooth, but this just feels smooth - perfect really. Everything is expertly balanced. Every brewer attempting to do a oak aged version of a beer should be required to try this. So much flavour, so complex, so good. So glad I got to try it.

Tap @ brewdog Camden, creamy mocha head, pitch black, aroma of aged balsamic vinegar, sour cherries and rspberries with some dark bread, nuts and winey notes in the back, intense dried fruits flavour with sweet cherries ginger cake, oaky winey notes and some cognac, extremely sweet but balanced and not overpowering, amazingly silky, does not feel like 18.2%. Rivals the great desert wines of the world. WOW!!!

Good carbonation! Smooth in taste. Alcohol aroma. And oak. Wow didn't realise it was 18.2. That's nuts -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10

One of my favorites, poors black. Sweet and a little boozy, which I like. Extremely smooth beer, nothing like it.

A stout on massive steroids. A mere drop on the tongue explodes in oak laced licorice, dark roasted coffee flavor on the tongue.

Bottle at home (from Bierwinkel in Leiden, NL). Typical stout black colour with a creamy colored head. Smells after caramelized sugar, berries, (hazel)nuts, roasted malts, oak and brandy. Complex and silky smooth mouthfeel. Sweet, berries, cherries, chocolate, raisins, vanilla and with a hint of alcohol (although the18,2% alcohol is dangerously hidden). More than excellent!

Black with creamy beige head. Nice chocolate and bourbon aroma, intense but not arrogant. At taste is alcholic and light sweet with many ripe fruit flavour.

Dark fruit aroma with whisky, pine wood shavings and licorice. Very dark black appearance that’s thick and oily. Similar taste to aromas but with nice alcoholic warmth. Very fine drink for special occasions.
