Intergalactic Fantastic Oak Aged Stout
The irony of existentialism, the parody of being and the inherent contradictions of post-modernism, all so delicately conveyed by the blocky, pixelated arcade action have all been painstakingly recreated in this bottles contents.

This imperial stout is brewed with copious amounts of speciality malts, jasmine and cranberries. After fermentation we then dry-hop this killer stout with a bucketload of our favourite hops before carefully ageing the beer on French toasted oak chips.

It is all about moderation. Everything in moderation, including moderation itself. What logically follows is that you must, from time, have excess. This beer is for those times.

[On-tap at The Friendly Spot] I wasn’t going to pay the high price for this beer, but the person I was with did, so I tried some of his. After having tried it, I am extremely glad I didn’t order it. An odd solvent-like (similar to acetone, but slightly different) aroma is very prevalent when cold, but it faded as it warmed. Other than that, this beer is completely dominated by raisin, molasses, and alcohol. A little green pepper, chocolate, and day-old coffee were also in there. Good, thick mouthfeel with a long finish (more chocolate here). What a sweet, boozy mess. Incredible that this is rated so highly, because I found it to be a nearly undrinkable trainwreck.

0,33 l bottle. Pours pitch black with small lacing. Aroma is intensive, with notes of coffee, chocolate and some cognac.Taste is again powering, but not overpowering. It has thick texture and delivers a delicious mixture of coffee, chocolate and cognac with a long lasting creamy feel. This leaves a slick mouthfeel which doesn’t overpower as I’d thought it would, considering the abv. Overall, a great imperial stout well worth the purchase if you can afford it. This rating was based on the 16,5% version, purchased at a Vinmonopolet store in Oslo for about 150 NOK.

most inviting aroma I think ive ever experienced, wine at first followed by chocolate cherries and sweet fruitiness..lastly a caramel sweetness with coffee lingering throughout..appearance..dark,very slight brownish tan head..taste follows the exceptional aroma with added alcoholic heat and a tingle of hop bitterness at the finish..as it warms the heat and the fruity winey qualities become more apparent delicious nonetheless, somewhere between a Russian impy and a dark red wine with fruit floating in it..texture is thick a bit sticky and again warmth but not blazing hot.. and lingering finish..excellent extreme imperial stout its pricey but you must try it

Bottle. Coffee, caramel, some booze and chocolate. Very sweet and strong, but also beautifully done. Surprisingly not overpowered! Very tasty.

Lordy - smells okay. Some dark fruits. Dark malts. A little dark chocolate. Then the taste hits you like an awful hair day. Really bad. Stale. Old. Musty. Moldy. Every bad deScriptor in the book can probably be applied to this deScription. Ugh.

Bottle split three ways. Pitch black pour with a tan head. Notes of roast, licorice, jammy berries, sweet malts, dark dried fruits and a bit boozy.

Pours dark with a tan head that quickly dissipates. Scents of toffee, dark fruit, and jasmine. Almost sickly sweet, but good in moderation.

Corpo pieno, poco carbonata, pastosa.

DAA; Bottle 330 ml., from Vinmonopolet. ABV 16,5% (!?). Pours moderate, black with a creamy and lacing tan head. Nose is heavy, roasted malt, moderate to heavy chocolate, moderate oak, coffee, dark fruit, light alchol, berries and liqorice. Taste is heavy sweet and moderate bitter with lasting sweet prunes, alchol warming finish. Body is full, texture is creamy, carbonation is flat. With a "bucketload" of taste, indeed.
