3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours black, I dont know how anyone could say it pours amber or dark brown it defiantly pours black. If you thin it out it might be brown but looking at it in my glass it is a black beer!
Smells of chocolate and sugars, maybe a bit of coffee. Taste is smooth for the percent. A bit sticky. Long lingering aftertaste and a bit of burning in your stomache. I had to use a wine cooler to keep this beer cold as I drank it I could not enjoy this warm. A nice and very interesting beer.

4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma: spice, licorice, jasmine, herb, cough syrup, milk, cocoa, chilli, coffee, cherry, liquor, oak, vanilla, red fruit; Appearance: dark brown, vanishing frothy head; Taste: intense sweetness, intense bitterness, medium sourness; Palate: average carbonation, bitter finish, medium body, thick texture
Boozy, with plenty of alcoholic warmth, aromatic, hop-loaded, slightly too fizzy. Oak is hard to notice. If not for the bitter kick, the sweetness would be unbearable.

Bottle; pours very dark brown with a thin mocha ring around the edge of the glass; aroma is chocolate, vanilla, and roasted malt with hints of oak and dark fruits; taste is rich with licorice, roasted malts, and dark fruits with hints of oak, vanilla, and chocolate; finish is dry and light bitter with some alcohol warming; delicious beer

Wow! One of the biggest beers I’ve ever had, but there is a shocking smoothness too it. Some alcohol warmth, oak, bitter chocolate, dark strong coffee, some dark fruits (berries), vanilla. Big thick mouthfeel, slick on the tongue. Pitch black pour with sticky oil cocoa colored head. Glad to have tried this beer.

4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Deep black body with ring tan head. Aroma has a balanced woody character, alcohol notes, dried plums, forest fruit. Some roastiness, but mostly overwhelmed by the berry-like fruit jam. Taste has high roasty bitterness upfront with complex sweetness coming in next, strawberries, blackberries, plums. Body is oily, heavy, full, low carbonation.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20

From a well aged 12 oz bottle...poured in wine glass. Mohagany burgandy with minimal head. Aroma of dark roasted malts. Moderate carbonation and big body. Flavors of dark roasted malts, peat, alcohol, roasty grains. Overall big, bold, bodacious.

I love imperial stouts, but getting this up to 18% means that it is far too sweet for me.
