COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This imperial stout is brewed with copious amounts of specialty malts, jasmine and cranberries. After fermentation we then dry hopped it with a bucketload of our favourite hops before carefully aging the beer on French toasted oak chips.

Bottle brought along to Merton Summer Beer Festival July 19th 2008 by Mes, cheers for sharing this one mate! Pours with a real sticky oily consistency shark eye black in colour with browning at the edges and topped off by a beige coloured head. Creamy vanilla on the nose along with some floral notes. This is so tasty, creamy fruity and big dollops of camp coffee chicory flavours abound, amongst all of this the hops still show and when one does a little burp theres plenty of nice oily hops showing again. Really, really nice beer and maybe with my rating (the tenth I believe) this one will make some inroads on the top 100 beers. I’ve just checked its at number 96 fair play to Brewdog, great beer!

Bottled, opened and consumed at Merton Summer BF - big thanks again to Mes. Like the Marble Decadence, this looks lovely in the glass. Big and black with a delightful frothy coffee coloured head. Plenty of hop notes in the spicy flowery fruity aroma and then the taste reveals tons of lavender and a little bergamot. Petrol notes also. A long finish and retronasal qualities. An interesting extravagant beer which is perhaps is a little too complex for its own good.

Bottle, from Cornelius in Edinburgh. Oily black, fine brown head that settles into a frothy ring. Marzipan, almond, fudge, rose petals. Thick bittersweet cocoa flavor, almonds. Lovely chewy palate, warming and still pleasantly sharp around the edges. Really solid imp stout. Will be interesting to see what some age does to it.

Bottle from Website: Bought 3 bottles from Website after press attention. I was startled by this. Aroma, intense chocolate and dark ripe fruit, sherry taste. deep chocolate, fruit tartness, malt sweetness and a complimentary bitterness, velvety and low carbonation Lingering chocolate and even vanilla too. Beuatiful if rather strong brew.

Twickenham Brewery tasting 08. Slightly berryish on an impy stout aroma. Lovely creamyness in mouth. Thickish but light. Sweetish but great cranberry finish with herb. Beer of the evening.

Bottle. Pretty special. Aroma his dark chocolate, mocha, alcohol, with sme light spice (from the Jasmine i guess). palate is rich and warming, and the alcohol is noticeable, but quite smooth and complimentary to the beer. Slightly tarry mouth feel, but smooth and rounded, with some nice licoricey bitterness and then some subtle spice. I thought this was very impressive.

A Mes rate: Bottle at the Tom’s awesome Twickenham Brewery tasting.
Black as night, thick and viscous and an excellent tight tan head. Glorious condition. Vanilla, juniper, more vanilla, brown sugar and some excellent peated malt. Lovely lavender notes. The oak chips really show through but are never over powering. Stunning roasted chocolate malt and massively fruity. I can’t really detect the cranberries, just a barrage of every berry you can imagine. Outstanding spicy and bitter finish where the dry hopping really does its thing. An absolute cracker of a beer. BrewDog have excelled themselves here and that’s really saying something. Tried this twice and it’s a real shame that it’s quite possible I will not ever get the chance again. Incredible stuff. Massive thanks to Crazy Dave.

Bottle thanks to james for sending me 6 of the 2000 made. Oh my this is something special and i mean oh my! Nose is spicey citrus and cinamin with small ginger character, typically brewdog yeast. Taste is soo well balanced, wheres the alc? The fruity cranberry character is there but its not fruity, insted its there souly to balance out the roasty character of the malt, its sweet and chocolaty and somehow this goes well with the spice. This is a bloody masterpiece. This takes british brewing to a new level. Watch out westy 12 as this is going to give you a run for your money!
