100th BrewDog rate! Bottle, many thanks to thepeter. It pours jet black, with a bubbly tan head. The nose is quite subdued - chocolate, caramel, toasted coconut, sweet and chewy. The taste is roasted malt, alcohol warmth, charcoal, chocolate, caramel, oak, smoke, treacle and some dried fruit, with a roasty finish. Full body and fine carbonation. Smooth and well balanced. This has held up pretty well.

Bottle. Massive thanks to the legendary peter for the pour! Deep brown with a tight tan head. The nose is chocolate syrup and lightly roasted wood. Burnt brown sugar and chesnut. The taste is light whisky, some peat and bitter chocolate. Smooth oak. Really mellow, deep roasted malt flavors with slightly tangy sugary liquor finish. Oily body, big beer. Overall, really nice.

(Draught) Pours black. The aroma is roasted, syrupy and woodsy/oaky up front with undertones of flowers and berries. Hints of, violet, blackberries and incense. Well-balanced nose, all the ingredients harmonize with each other. The flavour is smooth roasted with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, oak, flowers and berries. Hints of liquorice and maybe a touch of jasmine. The mouthfeel is numbing and round. Medium to full bodied.

330 ml bottle shared by bsuedekum- thanks again, Blake! Batch 001, best by 31/11/09 (since when are there 31 days in November?). Aroma of peat, smoked malts, oak, soy, chocolate, roasted malts, and brown sugar. Flavor of spices, toasted oak, peat, earth, chocolate, and some berry fruits. Light-bodied, thinned out over the years, with low carbonation and a smoky, roasty, watery mouthfeel. Jasmine and cranberry were hard to pick out in this one. Good, but probably better fresher.
