This imperial stout is brewed with copious amounts of specialty malts, jasmine and cranberries. After fermentation we then dry hopped it with a bucketload of our favourite hops before carefully aging the beer on French toasted oak chips.

On tap at Capones 2013 Black Friday event. Dark mahogany with no head. Once it warmed up lots of molasses, raisin, prune, alcohol, oak, belgian candied sugar. Full body, mild carbonation, sweet but there is some bitterness present. Makes a great black and tan with Dogfish 120 minute!

Bottle. Unbelievably rich and thick with a massive sweet sherry aroma. The big abv isnít immediately apparent on the tongue but thereís only a little time before the warmth in the chest becomes apparent. Very well made and well worth keeping for the last 30 odd months!

Appearance: Blackish-brown with a little beige head Aroma: Big barleywine like aroma with heaps of oak, coconut and whiskey Taste: Tons of flavor going on here starting with a creamy texture and then a massive wallop of maltiness, candy sugar. The high alcohol content is quite noticeable as is the whisky infused oak. This finish has toffee, mocha and some spiciness and some fruitiness on the side of the tongue. Overall: Cant quite pick up on the jasmine here and if I didnít read the label I would have missed the cranberries as well. Still the combination does give that massive malty flavor a unique twist.

Bottle at home. Forgot I had this, has been in a box since I moved 2 years ago. Pours almost black with a brown head. Aroma is heavy alcohol, sugar, chocolate, vanilla. Taste is incredibly sweet, sugary. Canít even detect the bitterness, itís just so freaking sweet. Some dark fruits noticable. Ok, the finish is a tad bitter. Itís just over the top sweet though.

Bottle aged one year. Second time to consume this beauty. Pours almost black from the bottle with a light creamy head that dissipates quickly into beautiful lacing. Scent of sweet booze. O M G seriously the sweetest shit ever. And I like it. Flavor of raisin cranberry thickness. Goodness! This is a nectar meant to be sipped with some seriously good cheese. Chose an nice English cheddar. Feeling grateful.

Pours an opaque dark brown with a one-finger, dark tan head. The aroma is melting caramel in the sauce pan with fermented raisins. Slick, viscous mouthfeel. Whoa!! The 18.2% ABV on the label is definitely accurate. Sweet raisin and rich caramel flavors. This brew is powerful in every possible way imaginable.

Raisins, dark pitted fruit, and roasted malts with a hint of alcohol comprise the aroma. A inky black pour with a small, rapidly dissipating khaki head and minimal to no lacing. The taste is slightly sweet. Dark roasted malts, raisins, coffee bitterness, caramel, brown sugar, sweet fruit with wood notes. The finish and aftertaaste, while sweet, have some pepper and alcohol flavors present. Full body and mild carbonation. Syrupy mouthfeel. Overall, a well crafted beer with an extremely complex flavor profile. It tastes like a sweet port. Would be great with blue cheese!

On tap at CBC 2012. Deep black in the glass, small head. Heavy malty aroma. Starts quite sweet and malty, more and more dry. Finish less sweet, some earthy notes. Interesting beer.
