2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
330ml brown bottle, label is the usual simple BrewDog design, logo and weathered typography, poured into a lager glass. Appearance is opaque brownish black with a medium sized tan head, that when reduced left lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate and rye sourdough bread. Flavours of roasted malts, dark chocolate, rye sourdough bread, nutty notes and a hint of coffee. Taste is light-medium sweet and light-medium bitter. Palate is medium-light bodied, soft texture and average carbonation. BrewDog brews many better beers than the Zeitgeist, I would have liked this beer fuller bodied. With that said itís still an okay beer for the style.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Colaachtige kleur met een volle lichtbruine kraag. Ruikt fruitig, caramel, vanille. Smaakt bitterzoet, koffie, hop en iets gebrand. Apart maar wel lekker.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Dark brown body, tall beige head. Aroma has cola, coffee and some cocoa. The aroma resembles some Imperial Stouts - just close your eyes and smell it again. Sweet roasty taste with more cola and cocoa. Good roast and bitterness. A nice Schwarzbier but the commercial description is really TL;DR.

Pours opaque black and you get an instant cocoa aroma which followed by very subtle hop aroma. Light bodied with subtle roasted malt flavour and finishes bitter.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cola colored with a medium beige head. Aroma is malty sweet, roasted, with some fruity hoppiness. Rather promising. Taste is roasted malts with rye and bread, some fruitiness too as expected. Smooth and bitter too, this is really pleasent and even more when considering the abv. Could have some more of these yeah.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
On tap at BrewDog Sao Paulo. Pours black almost opaque with a minimal frothy head. It has a slightly malty aroma with hints of fruit. Although you can taste the malt it is not sweet and surprisingly bitter with a quite hoppy finish. There is better Schwarzbier out there.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Pothole (Kohtís newly opened bottle shop) in Tallinn (Ä 3,50), July 2014. Pours a very deep dark brown with a red hue (black as night in the glass); head is big and fluffy, tan, retaining, leaving good lacing. Nose is roasted malts and some caramel (the classic Buratino lemonade, but that disappears fast); also something burnt and liquorice-like. Taste is very clear roased malts, or cool coffee for that matter, slightly chocolaty, with some bitter and sour tingling in the finish. Body is very light, palate soft and velvety, carbonation low. Overall a good one, though I reckon Iíd have enjoyed it more in a cool winter evening than in a boiling summer night.
