Bottle thanks to AmEricanbrew. Strange beer. Pours with a white head over a clear golden body. Aroma has a huge amount of fruit in it. Strawberry milkshake. Malted milk, coconut, scotch and alcohol. Flavors are earthy, and funky with scotch (doesn’t go well). Flavors don’t meld well, but the alcohol is well hidden. Lively bubbles.

Thanks to AmericanBrew for sharing this bottle. The beer pours a golden-orange color with a small white head. The aroma is heavy on the orange citrus hops. I also get something that smells like sweet, sugary candy. I guess that is the strawberries coming through. The flavor is heavy on the hops, with some grapefruit and orange citrus notes. I also get some biscuit malt. The alcohol is also quite present, although the beer is still easy to drink. Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation. Glad I got to try this one. Thanks Eric.

Another rare treat from the ratebeer winter gathering. A: Pours a nice golden hue with a small white head. No real retention or lace. S: Aromas of tart berries, stale oak, and mild booze. T: The berry stands out for sure. Very woody with mild boozy notes. The IPA in this beer is understated. Light pine but not much else. This one had lots of promise but it just falls a bit short. M: Medium in body, smooth, low carbonation for the style. D: Okay, I had high hopes for this one, but it did not live up to my expectations. That being said I am happy to have tried it though.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden orange. Minimal carbonation with only a very small cream coloured head. No real lacing. Aromas are huge and very complex. Initially I get everything from strawberrys and cream, vanilla through to coconut. Very un beer like. After a while though some hop bitterness shows through along with a faint fruity sourness and some oak. Very complex. Unfortunately the flavours are anything but. It tastes like a very muted pale ale with minimal hop character offset by some strawberry sweetness. Alcohol starts to dominate near the finish. Quite confused and doesn’t really work. Worth trying but definately not something I would search out again especially given the price.

bottle pours light gold with a thin white head. Aroma is berries, thin oak and some grass. Flavor is a mellow triple, thinly hopped, lots of the barrel showing it’s way forward with some whiskey and again berry notes in the finish. Interesting.
