COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This traditional British style India Pale Ale is graced with monstrous portions of three styles of hops. With a huge bite and a big hop profile, it may become a legend in its own right!

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2012 Very little hoppy aroma, if any. Yes, quite hoppy bitter but at first I didn’t think I tasted any hops. It evolves from the time it hits your tongue till the time it goes down the gullet. Gets more and more hoppy bitterness in there as the session continues. Nice lacing in this brew. leaves a medium hop bitterness on the finish but I must say, it is below average on hop bitterness compared to most IPA on this site. I don’t like IPA, so if you do, ignore my numbers and give this a try, you may like it.

on tap at the restaurant. not much of an aroma, some hope. seemed like a great example of what a british IPA should be. nice citrus hops with a strong fruity hop finish. well done.

Pours slightly orange with a finger of white foam. Not much in the nose. If I really really focus I might get a hint of hop flavor. Clean finisher. Pretty boring.

Caramel orange, off white foam. Aroma is malty sweet, some herbal hoppiness, not overwhelmingly hoppy. Taste is caramel, toast, grassy, herbal hop finish, just a touch of metallic maltiness.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy dark orange colour. Almost no head. Citric flavour. Orange juice? Strange milk acid flavour. Not an IPA, and certainly not a monster one.

Lightly hazy straw colored pour with a chunky/frothy head. Grassy straw like grain with a touch of nondescript hop presence in the aroma. It’s a very light smell. Malty grain, and grainy grain with spicy hops and a touch of citrus. Nothing special. Leans a bit to the English side of IPA’s, with a touch of citrus peal. Full mouth feel and not as crisp as I would like. A fair brew, down right average.
