UPDATED: JUL 13, 2005 Cask at the brewpub. Pale amber. Rich grapefruity hop aroma. Sweet with clean, rounded mouthfeel. There’s some dry caramel before a lightly ashy finish with medium bitterness.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 fiulijn (10383) - Como, ITALY - AUG 30, 2006
Cask Conditioned in the brewpub Hazy golden color. Nice hoppy aroma, a bit fruity and grassy; malt taste, good hopping, aromatic, strong ending bitterness. The best offer of the evening.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Oakes (10184) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 28, 2010
Hazy, tan. Even head looks like sparkler. Earthy herbal nose. Juicy, toasty, well-balanced palate. Very authentic - the pint disappears before I’ve had a chance to write anything...always a good sign in a bitter.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 TBone (9414) - Pori, FINLAND - FEB 25, 2006
Cask conditioned/handpumped@brewpub
Pale yellow color, small white head. Lemony hoppy nose. Floral hoppy in the light body, similar to their Golden Ale, but this one has longer hoppy aftertaste.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Lubiere (6988) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 19, 2011
A hazed blonde ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, biscuitty malt with over herbaceous hops, nice, and British. In mouth, a good biscuitty malt wit fruity notes, herbal notes, light but good. On tap at brewpub, July 11, 2011.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Beershine (4712) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - JUN 22, 2010
Cask @ brewpub. Rich gold with nice haze and a loose lasting classically cask head. Aroma is nicely bitter with very dark green leaves and grasses. Cask mouthfeel is nice, soft, easy, and slightly oily. Flavors add fruitiness and flowers to the lingering, gentle bitterness. Woody too. Is very English and very nice.

Sampler at Brewerkz. Hazy golden yellow colour, white head. Aroma of malts, grain, overripe fruits, pineapple. Flavour is malty, fruity, bit grainy bitter finish. Very English. Light bodied.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 nate2g (1548) - Marlborough, NEW ZEALAND - SEP 26, 2009
Draught at Brewerkz, Singapore. Dark golden with a small dissipated white head. Malty with citrus notes, melon and pineapple. Low bitterness. I’m not sure about this beer, I found it strangely balanced and not to my palate anyway.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Sully (1378) - Potts Point, New South Wales, AUSTRALIA - JUL 3, 2006
UPDATED: JUL 18, 2006 Its funny when you do a bit of a wander around the site and discover the odd beer that has escaped rating. This is obviously only available from the pub and, as always, support should be given to those places that attempt a beer of this nature. It presents like a hand pumped beer should with a scant head due to lack of carbonation. There is a definite dry hop nose and the flavour is well balanced by hop and malt. This beer is probably a beginners beer as it seems to be the introductory beer for Singaporean palates brought up on fizzy Asian lagers. While there are always a large number of expats the concentration of locals seems to assist in the success of the establishment. Earlier Rating: 10/27/2003 Total Score: 2.9 The commercial description on the tasting sheet simply states that it is "Dry hopped, cask conditioned, hand-pumped." Yup, sounds about right. The colour is sherry like so it is a bit paler than your average Pommy style. The head lasts well in the pint glass. The nose is a soft malty and toffee with some dry hopping evident. Yhe mouthfeel is fine and taste similar, my only misgiving about the goldings hops used is that too much can give a slightly cardboardy finish.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 WISEGUY572 (1373) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 5, 2009
I think that these beers are under-rated and under-appreciated. It is not fair to compare them to rip-your-tongue-out American hopping beers. Mostly Scott, the head brewer, believes in English style session beers. So this is low alcohol and easy to drink. Think of an English Best Bitter. Think of the creamy mouth feel of an English cask conditioned bitter. Think of Golding and Kent ... and drinking all night with friends. Add a bonus point or two for all that flavor with less than 5% alcohol.
