A-- Poured a dirty, hazy, orange brown color. half a finger of bright white head. Quickly fades away to film. Decent head retention and good spotty, soapy lacing with this. S-- Pretty simple. Carmel, orange, and lemon. malt backbone gets much sweeter as it warms up. Quite fresh orange smell to this. T-- Once again Carmel, orange and lemon. Though this is more pungent orange to me. Thought fuggles and Simcone as hops. Taste getting sweeter and bread like as it warms up. M-- Clean and dry orange and grapefruit finish. Medium body and lower medium carbonation. Very dirty and grity at times. Gets sweeter in the mouth and also get some coffee and lemon acidity with this in the mid of the mouth. Works in some way. O-- Quite enjoyable I think. More of a sipping IPA really and could have several of these. Is it brilliant? No but considering the climate where it is made this will work quite well.

Draft at Brewerkz Singapore. Medium amber pour, light froth and no lacing. No strong aroma, but a nice hoppy, slightly bitter IPA. Quite refreshing and a great session beer. Served cold which suits the climate but that takes nothing away from the beer. Would drink again and again if I lived here! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampler at the brewpub. This didn’t quite work. As promised lots of malt and lots of (curiously english not american tasting varieties) hops but somehow didn’t really come together. Tasted a bit heavy on the alcohol too.

A golden IPA with a thin light moka head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with faint herbal hops, musty fruity esters, chalky notes. In mouth, a smooth caramel malt, with dryish herbal hops, more German in style, good but not to style. On tap at brewpub, July 11, 2011.

Sample at the brewpub. This one shows a little more character with a pongy malt character and spicy hobs although these’s a stewed fruit character I don’t really get. Seems to lack freshness maybe? Just ok after a period of contemplation.

Light caramel in colour with a little bit of a copper glow and a very thin tan head. Aroma of hops, good balanced malt and a little bit of nuts and caramel - fairly nice and refreshing, given the weather in Singapore. Medium-bodied; Nice fresh hop flavour at first then fades immediately to a cardboardie, bready, yeastie malt and very mild and caramel finish. Aftertaste shows as much malt or more than the hops, but the beer ends okay. Overall, a decent attempt at an IPA, but given the ridiculously high prices here, not really worth trying. I sampled this pint on draught at the brewpub in Clarke Quay in Singapore on 02-November-2009.

Hazy amber. Limited aroma has some citrus. Citrusy, moderate bitterness and a good dose of chewy malts provides balance. OK - could be a bit brighter with those hops.

Draft @ brewpub. Dark gold with nice stable head. Subdued aroma. I wish it would come out more. All I detect is slight flowers and leaves. Why are so many of the Brewerkz beers stingy with their aromas? The palate is juicy. The malt character is well-developed with nutty notes. Balanced and unexciting IPA.
