Sampler at the brewpubs. Close to textbook but lacks the minerals and pepper to make it really interesting. Still good summer drinking if somewhat uninspiring.

Sampler at Brewerkz. Light hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of some sulfur, metal, grain. Flavour is light flowery, grain, some lemon, grainy bitter finish. Light to medium bodied.

Draught at Brewerkz, Singapore. I can’t say I’m a huge fan of the style but I found this a very enjoyable beer. Light golden forming a small white head. Pleasant fruity tones balanced with a solid malt backbone...albeit light bodied. Clean, crisp mouthfeel. Light hoppy finish. Refreshing beer to escape the Singapore heat.

A Kolsch is pretty hard to distinguish from a lager in a blind tasting. This was clean, clear, simple, and enjoyable. Think clear gold, white head, crsip malts, and a small amount of noble hopping.

On draught at the brewery, light-bodied, very crisp and clean, with a pale malt flavor and lasting, slightly hoppy bitterness.

So, a steam and a Kolsch, two beers that are somewhat juxtaposed yet similar in the way they present. Another clean session beer from the brewer with a l=pale presentation, soft and slightly hoppy nose and a clean crispness in finish. A very inoffensive beer.

Golden yelow color, small white head. Typical a bit sweet hoppy Kölsch nose. Midly flowery hoppy, easy to drink brew. Clean but simple.

Draught at the brewpub. Pale golden. Orangey nose. Dryish with rounded but clean mouthfeel and fairly light body. It’s ashy, near smokey and has a hoppy, salty finish.
