Tasted at reddot brewery. Poured a large brownish head of malt. Body is light black and one could see it is less thick than usual stouts. Mouth is disappointing with over-roasted malts which are not balanced by too weak hops, bitterness, warmth and thickness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at the brewpub. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma and flavour of dark chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, coffee, dried fruit and licorice.

Thanks to Gunther Bensch for this 50cl bottle. Pours a deep black color with a small tan head. Aromas of nice dark chocolates, malts, and hints of coffee. Flavors also of nice chocolates, malts, vanilla and of coffee. nice rich flavors. Medium body, slightly sweet, slightly bitter and with a dry and yet creamy finish. Very enjoyable brew.

(On tap) Black with a small tan head. Aroma is invitingly smokey. Full bodied, rich and smooth with fine lively carbonation. Flavour is full of dark smokey burnt notes, with plenty of subtle interesting complexity - licorice, dark chocolate coffee. A good stout, although a little over the top for me.

This is a good one. Bottle from the pub in Singapore. This is a good one. Pours a beautiful opaque black in the glass, with a thick off-white head. Aromas of dark chocolates, ashes and hazelnuts. Flavours go around the same area, but stronger, with a rather bitter, dray aftertaste, and a nice buttery feel on the palate.

UPDATED: NOV 29, 2014 33cl bottle. Aroma of coffee and cereal. Very small tan coloured head which quickly disappeared - no lacing noticable. Almost black in colour. Nice silky mouth feel, but bitter, smokey with flavours of roasted coffee, chocolate and malt. Bitterness continues on the palate.

Draft at Brewerkz, Singapore. Pours dark brown to black with a thick beige head. Aroma is very oatmeal, cereal, soy sauce, coffee and burnt malt. Flavour is quite sweet and a good balance with bitterness which has a moderately long finish. Medium to full bodied with minimal carbonation.

Can smell the oatmeal. Head didn't last very long. Bitter burnt coffee flavour which resembles a black IPA. Quite silky mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, 64cl. A dark brown beer topped by a nice, dark beige head. The aroma is perhaps a bit one-tracked, but nice, with a light burnt touch, as well as coffe and chocolate. The same can be said of the flavor, where there’s some bitterness to keep the chocolate, coffee and roasted to burnt malts company. Full-bodied and dry on the palate, with a lasting chocolate-bitter finish. Nice, but it lacks depth. 131004
