COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Battle of Antietam changed the course of the Civil War and still ranks as the bloodiest single day in American history. Antietam Ale is a classic English style Bitter...this ale is well balanced, ruby red in color and has a light hop and malty aroma.

Draft at the Monocacy Brewing Company location. Poured a clear copper color with a small white head. Aroma was some toasted malt notes, some earthy character. Flavor was sweet, with some malt. Some bitter notes. Pretty enjoyable.

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2012 Copper appearance with an average size beige head and good lacing. Subtle, earthy, toasted malt aroma. Solid malt backbone with only a hint of sweetness. Moderately bitter, woody, herbal hop flavors. Medium-to-light bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel leading to a short lived finish. A good session ale.
