3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at the Monocacy Brewing Company location. Poured a clear copper color with a small white head. Aroma was some toasted malt notes, some earthy character. Flavor was sweet, with some malt. Some bitter notes. Pretty enjoyable.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: NOV 10, 2012 Copper appearance with an average size beige head and good lacing. Subtle, earthy, toasted malt aroma. Solid malt backbone with only a hint of sweetness. Moderately bitter, woody, herbal hop flavors. Medium-to-light bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel leading to a short lived finish. A good session ale.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle - pours dark, crimson red, clear with caramel highlights. Small-medium tan-white head, mostly diminishing. Aromas of caramel, malt, and smoke dominate. Tastes of sweet malts, caramel, nuts, and finishing with a slightly bitter, cool herbal note. Creamy palate, medium bodied. It is an English Bitter. It is pretty dead-on stylistically. It is just not my favorite type of beer. Good on a lark though.
