Tap. Pours a cloudy purple-red body with a minimal thin ring of head. Restrained fruity nose, more of a muddled mix of fruit and yeast. The flavor is quite yeasty with some decent natural tasting berries. Not a whole lot of wheat makes it past the fruit. Medium bodied, kinda creamy and full from the heavy yeastiness. Not bad, didn’t taste like extract fruit at all.

On tap at the pub. No aroma. That was my first thought. Looked nice with a purple tint and small head. The flavor was tart with a hint of blueberry. Slightly thin.

From draught sample at the brewpub. Not much of any nose to this one and definitely not a blueberry aroma. Light carbonic gaseousness at most, with no hops or sweetness. It’s just kinda there. Dull amber-straw clear, with no head. Thin watery body with medium-heavy carbonation. Starts weakly, with a bit of watery sweetness. Very little blueberry presesnce, though there is a subtle blueberry skin musky quality in there. Just a bit of fruity acidity in the finish, and a mild wheat taste. Almost no aftertaste to this. It’s not bad, just dull.

I tried this beer on tap at the brewery, in August of 2008. May have been a new recipe, but I am not sure. The beer had a muted aroma, scents of wheat and yeast, maybe some grain, but barely any blueberry discernible. It was a cloudy straw color with a foamy white head that had good retention. The flavor was mostly wheat and grainy hops, and I really could not pick up much of a blueberry flavor at all. It had a fuller body, with decent carbonation and a drying finish.
