Bottle. Pours dark brown with creamy, beige head. Aroma is bread and cookie malts, figs, plums, floral hops, and light spice. Flavor matches the nose with dry, bready malts dominating with good dark fruit esters, floral hops, and light toffee; dry finish. Medium/full body and low carbonation.

Enjoyed this beer on draft at the brewpub. It had a dark brown-copper color with a deep dark ruby red hue and was somewhat clear with a smaller foamy white head with short retention and lower lacing and cling. Its aroma had an earthy-floral hops blend with some lighter caramel and candy notes, and a touch of raisin. The taste was a lightly sweet mix of malty caramel and raisin along with a light earthy bitter-sour blend. The body was quite wet with a medium mouthfeel and thickness, featuring low to average carbonation and a somewhat creamy and smooth effect.

12 oz bottle - pours dark brown, with scarlet highlights, small-medium head, fizzy, like cola. Beautiful aromas of candied brown sugar, chocolate malts, and sweet raisins and plums. Tastes of nice roasted nuts, dates, plums, and hint of vanilla maple. Mid-palate bitterness of hops with a nice finish. Vanilla on the tongue. Creamy milk chocolate. Nice brew.
