COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Assertive hop bitterness and aroma which is balanced by a slight caramel maltiness. We add hops directly to the fermentor for a more pronounced hop aroma.

Nice coppery yellow, slow effervescence. Muted malt aroma. Tangy, medium bitter - not super hoppy and more of a PA than IPA style. Very clean and drinkable. Longish hop-bitter finish. Some sunflower seeds and nuts. Great balance.

Bottle. Pours a light copper color with a small white head. Nose is grassy and lightly apricot. Palate is thin lightly dirty. Flavors of grass, lightly dry and fruity.

Light orange, not very hoppy, and not bitter. Makes me wonder if the 1634 and IPA got switched.

Draft at the source. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits, grass. Taste is pineapple and citrus. Nice.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange with a thick white head. Aroma of hop oils, sweaty hops, citrusy hops. Flavor of spicy hops, caramel malt, with a sharp hop bite in the finish. A touch of crystal malt. The flavor is more malt-dominant. But overall a very tasty ipa! 8/4/7/4/14 (3.7/5)

Nice caramel and hop aroma. Sweet body with a good hop flavor. Pretty balanced. One of my favorite beers from Brewers Alley.

Tap. Pours a clear dark gold with a small wispy white head that retained as a thin film. Citrusy and almost blueberry like nose with some light pils malt. The flavor is quite odd, there’s just a minimal amount of bitterness, but the hops are really floral and fruity. Light bodied and fizzy with a slight lingering fruity finish. A pretty weird beer, but I enjoyed it.

Cask @ the brewpub. Pours a hazy pale amber color with a small longlasting off-white head. Has a fruity malty weak hoppy aroma. Fruity malty hoppy flavor with hints of citrus. Has a fruity malty hoppy finish.

Pours the color of unpopiates gold with thin white head. Despite their claims of dry hopping I’m not getting a lot on the nose. Slight citrus hints on tge tongue and I do mean slight. Finish is a bit soapy.

Draught. Some hops on the nose, but not too strong and not much else. Nice amberish color with a cream colored head. Palate is a bit lighter than what you expect, and other raters have said, it is more of a pale ale than an IPA. Decent, but a bit lacking in depth in my opinion.

Picked up a six pack of this while schlepping around the eastern shore. Clear amber brew with off white head. Aroma of crisp hops, mild maltiness. Taste is medium malt with a fine hoppy finish. Hoppiness is not as pronounced as most modern IPAs and I’d liken the flavor profile more to a pale ale than an IPA - a really fine pale ale - but is good all around. Palate is somewhat on the light side. OVerall, a fine brew.
