Commercial Description:
The Wedding Alt is patterned after the alt beer from Düsseldorf, Germany. It has a subtle hop aroma from dry-hopping and a clean, light taste. The crisp dryness is derived largely from the use of Munich malts in the grist. Caramel and chocolate malts were also used. It's designed as a mild beer and should go well with almost any food.

Growler-Poured a cloudy amber color w/a slight head & a few "floaters" in the brew. This beer was kind of hard to pin down, had some hop flavor up front, a little more than I expected from this style, but it was still a smooth, easy drinking brew. Had traces of caramel, but not quite as much malt as I expected. Had a dry, crisp finish; kind of thin. Not a bad brew overall, a definite session brew.

Sampled at the brewery, in a pint glass one night and from a tower another. The aroma was not heavy, but pleasant, featuring mostly malty caramel notes, with some underlying earthy hops. It had a clear, copper-amber color with a moderately sized, foamy white head. Good flavor, mostly sweet and crisp, with a mix of bitterness. Did well on the palate with a subtle, fizzy carbonation, but was somewhat thin and a bit dry. Overall it was a good seasonal option and fun to try.

Growler... Clear, deep amber lager with a large, frothy, cream-colored head. Toasted caramel, praline and bread in the aroma. The flavor is all toasted caramel and bread with herbal hops. Good balance. A tad thin. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel with gentle carbonation. Finishes crisp and clean.
