The_Beer_God (2837), Newport News, Virginia, USA Apr 26, 2008 Draft at Brewers Art. Was waiting to hear back about this beer and Steve Frazier of Brewers Art calls this a "5.0% ABV Belgian Pale Ale". Bronze bodied (could be a shade lighter but it was a tad on the dark side in the bar). Nose is Hoppy and floral with soft tea notes, light toffee, soft malt and fruit. Taste is light toffee, chewy malts, spices, soft yeast, more tea leaves and flowery hops. Body is light-medium to medium. Carbonation is mild and restrained. Ends with more chewy malts, spices, flowery hops, earthy notes and fruit. Subtle yeast as well. Not a bad session style beer!
harpsm (12), Maryland, USA Aug 11, 2008 Light mouthfeel with unusual musky floral flavors that make me think of wisteria, oddly enough. An unusual but tasty session brew. beergeek86 (31), Clarksville, Maryland, USA Jun 4, 2008 translucent golden color with a small white head. flowery, subtly spicy aroma with some citrus fruit. nice medium mouthfeel - , maybe a little on the lighter side, and a little yeasty w/ light carbonation. taste - floral, caramel, spice, some maltiness. finish - malt, hops, citrus. not a bad pale ale, but thought there should be more to it.
