4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Orange-blond with a thick, effervescent head that slowly recedes and leaves thick lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast and bubblegum, a warm sugary scent as well. Hidden behind it all is a peppery spice that tickles the nose on a deep inhale. Flavor has an initial spice giving way to a belgian white sweetness but a clear and defined pepper kick in the back of the mouth in the finish and aftertaste. Wow, this is truly wonderful.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Pours golden orange with a white head. Clean pils-malt base, saaz-like hoppy notes, and light spicy notes, which I imagine is the peppercorn. Balanced and drinkable, but maybe a touch too strong.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle as a wedding gift! Pours high carbonation in burnt orange w a white head that dissipates to a thin film. Nose is yeast and straw and booze burn. Taste is smooth, barley grains with a good amount of boozy burn but tasty. Only with there was more ’pepper’ given the name of the beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled during CBC 2013. Golden pour with a small off-white head. Definite pepper on the aroma, some fruity esters, candy sugar, and pale malts. Sweet flavor up front, some sugars, definite pepper, some lingering dryness. Not bad.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Food and Friends in Philly.
Pours a brilliantly clear light golden color with a huge fluffy white head that slowly dissipates to a cap on top. Smells of pepper mostly, with hints on yeasty esters and a touch of sweet honey like malt. The flavor is heavy on the pepper with a sweet bready honey like malt flavor and a bit of spicy yeasty phenols to round it all out. Medium body with a moderate to high level of carbonation and a sweet slick bubbly mouthfeel. Nice beer I’ve been wanting to try this forever. Its very heavy on the pepper, I felt that a bit more sweetness might have helped to counter that a bit but it was good as is.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear golden pour with a thin white head and light sticky lacing .... Aroma has a nice punch of fresh peppercorns with some fruity tripel yeast and caramel malts .... great aroma .... Taste is spicy and sweet with caramel malts, lightly grassy and citrusy hops .... peppercorns are noticeable and tasty, but not overbearing and it also has a nice fruity tripel yeast as well .... mouthfeel is slightly oily/slick and very smooth .... finish is lightly bitter and peppery .... very well done

Surprisingly light for such a strong beer. Light in color, and easy to drink. A bit citrusy finish.
