Red tinted yellow-orange pour with a good white head. Slightly funky, almost skunky aroma. Sweet thin flavor. Some malt character and a weak bitter hope finish.

Bottle at post EBF tasting. Amber pour with tan head. Dark fruits, spices, some sweet malts, a bit funky and a light toasted malt. Sessionable.

Sampled at RBWG 2010. This is quite funky, maybe needs some time. Huge Belgian carbonation on this too.

Gold pour with white head and lace. Cinnamon, clove on the nose. Cinnamon, clove and plastic taste. Foamy and thin. Not my favorite beer.

UPDATED: OCT 20, 2011 (a couple 750ml bottles) Pours a clear golden body with a tall off-white head. Aroma of raisins, Belgian yeast, grass, caramel, light oxidation, clove, and citrus. Flavor of yeast, raisins, some cardboard, nuts, baked apple, and herbs with a dry finish.

Lots of carbonation. Saison style. Tons of yeast in the flavor. Very dominant. Banana, etc. Decent.

In short: A basic yeasty golden ale. Well attenuated, a bit dusty. Straightforward.
How: Bottle 22oz. Post-EBF tasting session #2 with east-coast crew.
The look: Almost clear golden body topped by large off-white head
In long: Nose is plain yeasty with light musty notes. Taste is very basic yeasty beer. Lost of dusty/dirty yeast with the usual fruity notes that we usually find in amber yeasty ales. Well attenuated. Fluffy lively body. Not bad. Current average is currently below 3.2 which usually indicates a train wreck. I actually thought this was quite drinkable even if very simple. Not as bad as the ratings may suggest. Just not a beer I would kill for. I try to keep my hobbies separate.

Amber pour. Yeasty aroma, light fruit. Boring flavor. I think it would have been ok if not in the middle of 50 million amazing beers at the RBWG. Maybe.
