Clear golden brown beneath a big fluffy white head. Earthy and dusty yeast aroma with some underlying fruits. Malt flavors are accompanied by earth and floral notes. Finish is slightly spicy. Not bad.

Purchased in an overpriced champagne bottle. Lots of nice aroma hopes are the outstanding feature. It tastes like a fairly bitter & yeasty APA. Not bad, but I probably wouldn’t get it again.

Bomber. Apple aroma and more apple notes. Mild for a farmhouse but complex and easy to drink.

11/28/13 Christmas 2012 gift from Sabina. Aged for almost a year until Thanksgiving 2013. Bright, apple cinnamon scent. Beautiful copper appearance. Light feel, crisp. Tart cinnamon flavor up front to a fruity, nutty middle, an a slightly blunt, bitter finish, like wood. Overall, a solid French ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml corked and caged bottle courtesy of BeerandBlues2 (thanks Brad!) poured a clear golden amber with a lasting ivory head. Aromas of bread, yeast, citrus and light spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of crackers, yeast, white pepper and light citrus with a crisp lingering peppery finish.

Hazy light amber color with a thick fluffy white head. Good amount of floaters. Aroma of funky Belgian yeast, earth, pepper, light hops. Nice and dry with good hop presence. High carbonation. Wish more brewers could make a good biere de garde like this!

This poured a hazy pink color. Not what I normally associate with a Biere de Garde. Had a tiny bit of Belgian yeast feel and a tiny bit of fruit notes. Was very sharp. Brewers Association dinner at The Tasting Kitchen in Venice. The slight tartness of this delicate beer undercut the duck as did the endive to make an excellent pairing.

Thanks to blutt59 for sharing this bottle. Orange-amber pour with a white head. The aroma is full of brown sugar, Belgian candy sugar and toffee. The flavor is toffee, yeast, pepper, alcohol and oranges. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Eulogy, Philly tap: Pours a copperish color with a white head. Aroma is yeast, bread, non-citrus fruitiness. Taste is lightly sweet. A wee bit spicy. Bread and yeast. I like this more than I usually like bier de gardes.
