COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our answer to the Belgian «devil» beers (i.e. Lucifer, Duvel, etc.). Both rich and dry, this beer is all too easy to consume in large quantities. Hopped with Styrian Goldings.

Can. Date stamped on the side: 9/1/13. Mine says 7.3% ABV. A clear amber pour with a thick off-white head. Candi sugar, cloves, bubblegum, bananas, Golden Delicious apples, and orange zest dominate the aroma. Hints of vanilla become apparent when things warm up a bit. Relatively thin to medium-bodied on the way down. The taste starts with lots of candi sugar, Golden Delicious apples, and hints of banana. A little vanilla here and there. Orange juice follows. Quite tangy at the end with plenty of zesty citrus rinds and a dash of pepper. A moderately dry finish. Spicy throughout with just a bit of warming alcohol. A solid brew.

pours a clear pale yellow with a huge white head...good lacing and retention. aroma has notes of clove, bubblegum and banana...just a faint hint of rotten eggs. flavor is grassy/earthy bitter with light clove and wheaty notes. mouthfeel is medium and silky with a very bitter and dry earty/grassy finish.

Can at Pickles Pub. Tastes delicious. Smooth and strong but not too thick or sweet. Medium body and medium carbonation.

On tap at Capones, pours a hazy golden color with medium foamy head, nice lacing, tons of carbonation. Aromas of granny smith apples, orange wit and belgian notes. Taste is super coppery and rusty, blood, peppers, belgian spices, and yeast. Peppery and dry as shit. Other nores of wood and vanilla. Finishes a little grainy. Too much carbonation.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2013 Draft at the Khyber, then later Farmers Cabinet. Blonde pour. Tempermental large frothy head that largely disappeared. Very bready nose! Fragrant. Floral. Corriander. Orange pith. Belgium ale flavor. Easy drinking but tastes like a Duval. Not sure Ozzy would approve.

Golden with a white head. Aroma was a bit vegetal to begin with but that quickly faded. Found that to be rather odd. Sweet malts, fruity, light yeast, a touch of spice, and bright fruit. Maybe slight honey. Good brew.

Tap. Pours clear gold with thin, fizzy white head; short retention and spare lacing. Aroma is floral and citrus hops, cereal and cookie malt, candy sugar, lemon, pine, and faint Belgian yeast. Flavor is sweet malt forward with sugar, light floral hops, and citrus esters; dry, sweet finish. Medium body and low carbonation.
