Had this for the first time yesterday out of a can....yes - a can! I guess I still think of PBR when I think of cans, but this was very good. Tastes nothing like anything else I can think of - sort of a mix between an IPA and a lager. Very easy to drink and very enjoyable.

Some fruit in the aroma, maybe apple, and some Belgian spice. the fruit and spice are in the flavor along with some booze. The finish is dry and easy drinking.

Sampled at AC Beerfest (2014). Poured a clear golden color with a thick off white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast and spices, and caramel malt. Taste is much the same. Belgian yeast, light spices, caramel malt, and old citrus fruit.

aroma of citrus hops and apple along with maple and oats..clear yellow with a foamy head that leaves much lacing..tastes like the aroma sort of like an imperial saison if you can imagine that slightly sweeter and more heavy than the typical saison not thast that’s a bad thing necessarily..light carbonation generally light and easily drinkable mouthfeel citrusy finish..overall..this is gonna taste real good when it’s 90 degrees out

A pretty good Belgian strong. A little too much Belgian yeastiness. I prefer my Golden ales more dry than this. Tried with Jess at Iron Horse in February, 2014.

12oz can. Pours a golden color with small white head. Fruity aroma of Belgian yeast, banana and clove. Very sweet with a lot of yeast character, lots of banana. Medium bodied. A bit on the sweet side, probably the biggest Belgian yeast flavor I’ve found in a beer.

All aboard! hahaha. Good strong Belgian blonde. Notes of coriander, floral yeast and a little citrus. Pours hazy golden with good head and lacing. Finishes a little sweet. Nice package, well rounded. Can from Right Proper.

Can. Best belgian strong i have had in a can. A little dark and caramelly with a good bit of alcohol and hop bite to balance. I like this can.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma - white flesh fruit really only thing picked up and some yeast consistent with Brettanomyces
Appearance - body color is golden in color, the liquid hazy opaque, the head was minimal and ringed out very quickly
Taste - the taste is very pleasant, with white fleshed fruit esters (pear/apple) - complex, not much else to detect other than some Brettanomyces because the lactic acid sort of coats the tongue.
Palate - body is light, the texture thin, the carbonation lively on the tongue, the finish sort of coats the tongue in a lactic acid, I’m not in love with that.
Enjoyable, but probably will be forgotten for me. Similar to Duvel, but in my opinion inferior. I’d think a Beer named after music’s prince of darkness would of been a Barleywine or an IPA.

Draft at the source. Poured a pretty clear straw yellow color with a lot of carbonation and a fizzy, white head. Aroma was lemon citrus, crisp malts. Flavor was lemon citrus, malt, and fruity and some light spicy notes from the yeast. Pretty enjoyable. The GF liked this one a lot.
