A great beer, but don’t forget Brewer’s Art’s other selections. These brews are very different, and very good. Brewer’s Art seems different from it’s hop-heavy competition, with more emphasis on subtle flavor. Overall, a good approach...

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a hazy caramel-brown color with a medium sized creamy orange-white head that left good lacing. The aroma was faint but had malty, toffee and dark fruit notes. The flavor malty and toasty with toffee, dark fruit and a medicinal presence that grew. Long finish. Medium body. Ok but I expect better in this style.

Great dark reddish color, very little head. Smells of malt, candy. Tastes bready, not the smoothest drinkable beer. It’s good.

Thx to Roger. A solid amber - didn’t seem like a dubbel to me. A bit of smoke, slightly acrid taste. Aroma makes a good impression.

Cask gravity dispense at GBBF. Hazy dark orange, still, small bubbly off-white head. Aroma is apple juice, baby food and booze. Body is medium, low carbonation, smooth. Taste is watery, soft biscuity malts, cheese sandwich, resin, light bitterness. OK.

12oz can in a plastic cup. Pours brown with a beige head. Aroma of spicy yeast, some pale and caramel malts, light hops, and some cloves/bananas. Flavor the same with a nice blend. Average texture. A decent dubbel, but sort of light.

Cask at Great British Beer Festival 2015. Clear amber beer with an offwhite head. Malty caramell aroma. Malty fruity citrus flavour. Boring beer with some strange artificial notes.
