They didn’t have this at the restaurant, but I did find it on tap at Max’s - cloudy golden with a fizzy head - quite a tart and yeasty aroma, with background notes of grassy/herbal qualities - quite dry and citrus-like at first, followed by an almost funky tartness - peppery and tea-like in the middle, followed still by a pretty strong lime flavor (probably because they add lime leaves to the beer), which compliments the tartness quite well - this is quite a unique saison, and one that would go great with seafood or thai cuisine.

On draught at Brewer’s Art in Baltimore: Pours a bright hazey golden colour with a big white head. Immediately spicey and yeasty notes come through on the nose. Followed up by some lemongrass, pepper and hops. Flavours are true to the style and very vibrant. Spice, grass and herbal notes. Some wheat and citrus notes to the finish. A seasonal I’m glad I had a chance to try.

On tap at brewery. Hazy golden with a fizzy white head. Faint grainy barn yard aroma. Sweet tropical fruit taste and a clean finish.

On tap at Max’s, This cloudy beer is a great example of saison. I say that becoues you never know what a saison will be like til you taste it and even then you are unsure. This one is another great beer by brewers art, some hoppy tart kind of bitter notes, but overall kind difficult to discribe. I must have another one to try and figure it out.

Golden yellow, clear, white head, light nose of pepper and pine, flavor was odd, un-saison like, with an odd spice and some pine notes. Not particularly impressed.

I would say and "herbal/spice" beer. Wonderful. Sharp piney notes up front, complex grassy/peppery flavors. A solid ale backing everything. Hard to describe...seaweed..salt..very dry. A great tour de force.

Draft at the Grey Lodge in Philly. The was pretty good. Had a nice dry spice flavor that I usually don’t pick up in saison.
