Pours a clear dark amber. Thin white head. Aroma is very very mild... a bit of caramel, but hardly worth mentioning. Flavor is little more than water but with an unpleasant after taste. Very thin too.

smells a bit like a banana cooked in rum. very sweet. ok mouthfeel, small bubbles. does have a sour veggie garbage taste at the end. nothing as far as hops i can figure out. bought at discount grocery. should have left it there.

Bottle from a discount grocery. Pours amber with an ok creamy/bubbly off-white head. Smells malty with a light touch of herb/spice. Near medium body. Flavor is a bit spicey, but somehow it is just awful. A bit sweet; a bit metallic. My mouth does not like this.

From 12-oz bottle pours a semi-clear dark amber colored brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thin ring. Aroma of caramel malt, mild citrus hops and a hint of butter. Taste is slightly sour, light bodied with cereal grain, a touch of Brazilian nuts, and rye. Finish is metallic, gritty with a sour malt aftertaste that was very difficult to finish. Drain pour! I can’t believe I still had a bottle of this in my cellar. No, strike that. I can not believe I paid for this bottle to try.

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2010 [Bottle] Pours a even brown color with a quickly receding tan head. Aroma of sweet caramel and cereal grains. Mainly stale, sweet caramel malts in the flavor. Something seems sour in the aftertaste. Lingering sweet notes in the finish as well. One dimensional and quite frankly boring. I bought a bottle of this in Oklahoma, so apparently they found somewhere to sell it.

Cloudy brownish pour, low head, no lacing. Sourish, sweet aroma. Caramel taste, unsurprisingly, with strange sour undertones. Medium mouthfeel. Not bad, was expecting a little more from this unusual style

12 oz bottle. Pours a light caramel/gold color with a white head with sub-par retention and an almost total lack of lacing. Aroma is a caramel scent with a indescribable smell at the end. It’s nothing terrible but it doesn’t do the beer any favors. Flavor is light caramel flavor with a slight off taste I can’t quite put my finger on. Not the best beer I have ever had. However, it’s not the worst I have had either. If you get a chance, try it...if you want.

Now I wonder how old these bottles are. No dates. It pours golden honey caramel color with virtually no head. Mild buttery caramel aroma with a little skunk. The flavor is pretty well balanced, although subtle hop bitterness takes over. It finishes a bit sweet and sour. The palate is a bit thin, but that could be contributed to age. Not bad.

12 oz. bottle. You cannot imagine how low my expectations were when I saw this was brewed by Blue Diamond Brewing. Thankfully they were exceeded. Honey gold and no head. Sweet aroma that was kinda skunky—the funk was like rotten cranberry. Taste is much better than the aroma. Much, much better. Sweet caramel flavor that was somewhat artificial. Finish is smooth although a little too sweet. I’d drink it again (although that doesn’t say much).
