COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Roasted Black Barley Ale begins with a Hand-Crafted mixture of Barley, Carmel Carapils, Roasted Barley and Black Barley Malt...Then our Master Brewers blend in Cascade and Brewers Gold Hops. Beer enthusiasts will enjoy its deep nutty flavor and Chestnut roasted hue. Brewed the same as in the 1800’s with hand-selected fresh ingredients and the time honored tradition from the legendary cave brewery.

Dark reddish pour with an off white head. Aroma is husky, light toffee, some chemicals. Flavor is husky malt, peanut shells, odd chemical bitterness. Not sure what happened here. Pretty horrible.

Pours a clear dark amber. Nearly nonexistant head. Aroma is pretty malty but bland. Flavor is not too pleasant at all. A bit astringent, but not from the hops (which are nearly impossible to detect.)

picked it up very cheap. *gulp* worth trying at least once? pours brownish with a small but tight off white head. aroma is nutty, light toffee/caramel, some grainy ’generic beer’ aroma as well. Thin bodied. Slightly astringent soapy taste. light roasted malt. some nuttiness again.
