cbkschubert (1721), Rattlesnake Country, Arizona, USA Dec 29, 2008 On tap at Brewers Den - Pours a hazy light golden color with a small white head. Nice lacing. Aroma and flavor is primarily banana with some faint yeast. Light to medium body. A nice German Hefe. nbutler11 (386), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Aug 12, 2008 Poured a cloudy hay with a white head from the tap at the Den. Faint nose of cream and citrus that continue into the flavor along with a bit of banana. Bitter finish. ajm (529), Los Angeles, California, USA Aug 6, 2008 I was surprised - very light and pungent aroma that foreshadows the sweet flavor. Opening flavor is a kapow of banana - rare that a Hef delivers on its promise of banana, and this delivers in spades. Yellow spades. This fades quickly into lemon and light bread. Very on the sweet side, so better suited to your first beer of the night than your seventh. Sparky27 (818), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Jun 28, 2008 Tap. Pours the a-typical hazy yellow hefe color with white head and spotty lacing. Nose is wheat, lemon and spice. Taste is wheat, lemon, banana and spicy yeast with a touch of hops in the finish. Medium mouth feel. NOt my favoite style, but an ok hefe. bu11zeye (4062), Frisco, Texas, USA Apr 12, 2008 (Draught) Pours a cloudy yellow body with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma of clove, wheat, and lemon zest. Flavor of clove, lemon, and banana bread with light grittiness in the mouthfeel and a creamy finish.
