On tap at Sonora Brewhouse, 11-11-07. Seasonal "Strong" offering. Pours almost like their IPA but a bit darker and redder, more like weak coffee in color. Lacing coated the glass, only slightly cloudy. Aroma was hard to pick up, but there was some malt in the nose. Flavor is very nice, a little sweetness, but hard to describe. Overall very good. 9.7% ABV, 120 IBUs.

I was pretty unimpressed with this beer. The first thing I noticed was that the color was too dark for a Red. The aroma was also very lacking. I would expect a triple red to have a lot of hops and this one didn’t have hardly any. The only saving grace if there was one was that it is very strong.

Tap @ Sonora’s 5th Anniversary Party. Aroma was of cherry’s. Mahagany body with thin tan head some lacing. Flavor had a noticable alcohol content alcong with moderate sweet cherry juice. Full bodied brew that was easy on palate.
