Commercial Description:
(Brewed at Holgate Brewhouse)
Brewed in Australia by Brewers' Fine Ale Pty Ltd, Cobden St, Kew, 3101
Brewers' time honoured fine ale brewing practices infuse authentic floor malted barley with specialty crystal maltz (sic) to create an exceptionally smooth all malt beer crowned with a long lasting snow white head.
The generous addition of Brewers' own blend of aromatic hops immediately prior to bottling finish this full bodied ale with their crisp flavour & spice aroma.

On Tap at Napier Hotel in Fitzroy, Melbourne. This is a complex and consistent ale. Lovely copper colour, fragrant nose, smooth on the mouth. has become my tap beer of choice in said pub.

Beer tasting at the Brewhouse: Rich and smooth, deep copper coloured body, very malty aroma and flavour. A good beer that finishes just a touch too sweet for my palate. A good fireside ale in winter.

Quite pale golden with a white head. Outrageously sweet aroma, packet popcorn, white sugar, sweet caramel malt and a dash of hoppiness in the aroma. Sweet body too, not a lot of bitterness to balance it out, but surprisingly it goes down pretty smoothly. Flavors follow that same sweet buttery line shown in the aroma, bit more assertive on the hops though, some nice spicy notes coming through the finish. An interesting effort.

Amber with a small, weak head. Sweet maltose kind of aroma and a very sweet beginning to the flavour. Then there is a funky citric sourness with a light bitterness in the finish. It’s ok but not easily drinkable with that sourness.
