On cask at Belmont Station’s Fringe Fest: Puffy and creamy in texture it becomes crystal clear within a minute or two and is crested by a magnificent and thick foam. The whole beer is mellow and morerish. It’s homely flavours of chocolate, hazelnuts and cocoa and the finale of a light, satisfying bitterness make it a real quaffer. I shall be forced to make a trip down to the brewpub based on this.

A dark reddish mahogany ale with a thick onctuous moka head. In aroma, nice herbaceous malt with English hops. In mouth, a pleasant smooth herbaceous hops in caramel malt, lightly nutty, light acidic points, pleasant. On tap at OBF’S Fringe Fest at Belmont Station, July 30 2011.
