COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark and malty, the appearance doesn’t prepare you for a crispness of taste. Lighter than it looks, it is very drinkable and beautifully smooth.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Clear, copper pan colour. Bubbly, dirty white head. Fruity, ever so slightly smoky lager malts. Taste is soft sweet, turning light bitter. Moderate body. Finishes short, light, bitter. Not much going off here, but still pretty drinkable.

bottle from trade with McTapps - cheers! Deep brown with a stable beige head. Lots of promising dark m,alts in the nose. Medium-bodied, good dark malt flavours, chocolatey with coffee. Good one.

Bottle from Whole Foods Kensington. Slightly cloudy and yet thin brown colour. Initial surprise of some spicy hop. Malts are a bit thin, caramel, watery to be honest. This was a bit of a disappointment.

Bottle. A soft aroma of vanilla, malty, some bread and a little bit alcoholic. The head is dark white, foamy and light creamy with a long duration. The body is dark brown, nearly black. The taste is light bitter, light malty, some cardboard. The body is rather light and dry with a flat carbonation.

Bottle at home. Pours a dark red-brown colour with a tight, off-white head. The bottle had some sediment, which stayed firmly at the bottom of the bottle. Not much aroma, a little nutty malt. Taste is quite sweet with some dryness. Pleasant mouthfeel, definitely a malt-driven flavour. Overall: OK. Inoffensive, but nothing special.

From bottle at The Taphouse, Durban, with OEN and RS 16.03.15. Dark nutty brown. Fine off-white head. Aroma of medium.dark malt and toffee. Same in taste, with dried fruits, berries and roasted nuts. Good drinkability.
