3.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Refreshing lager, no particular aroma to speak off, cloudy unfiltered appearance, easy tasting very easy on the palate, a session beer of note, nothing like the usual bland mass produced industrial lagers

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
20100515 Sampled at PilsnerPeter’s 2nd Annual Spring Gathering. Who brought this, EDA? I really liked this beer, so no doubt I’ll never see it again. Tart, yeasty lager that reminded me of Gose. Sourdough bread flavors, doughy aromas. Slick mineral late, a vinous, limestone quality. Some nice lemony tartness. Would make a very nice session beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
One of the first premium beers of the trip and for some reason the first picture i took of the trip... Aromas of crisp hay and cereal .. looks fantastic, great head and very good lacing .. quite a simple beer- cereal and hay follows into the mouth .. light creamy mouthfeel .. extremely well made .. i’m happy that damn fence is gone oma..

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured with a nice sized, foamy, frothy, off white head. Color was a hazy amber. Aroma was bread, yeast, cereal, malt. Flavor is like nose with a nice bitter/sweet balance. Body is good and so is carbonation. Finish is like flavor and short to medium in length. Not bad, although I’ve had a lot more distinctive "zwickels".

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle from St Pancras Sourced Market. Cloudy pale gold with thin white head. Bready toasty lemon aroma. Decent unfiltered lager. I kinda liked it. Good bready cereal malts with some good lemony almost sauvignon blancy flavour. Yes, it’s decent, no off flavours no cardboard, yeah that’s pretty good.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Cloudy yellow with a small head. Slightly spicy and quite complex. Eye catching label -not sure that the beer warrants it.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared with Lyoli on the Eurostar, bound for Brussels; this will probably be the last lager of the weekend. Pours cloudy gold with a forthy, pure white foam head. Doughy malts nose with sugary white bread notes. Medium sweet flavor with strong dough, faint spices, faint hay. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes mostly mellow, though there is a slight bready crispness with further notes of hay and some straw, very light notes of corn and cereal, some white sugar. It’s a very basic lager, but it’s also quite refreshing in its simplicity.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours cloudy yellow with a quick dissolving head with little lacing. Feint citrus and hay aromas.
Almost no bubbles are visible
Dry finish, doughy, malty taste.
Light carbonation. Medium bodies
An OK beer overall, but not my favorite.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml bottle, Beer Gonzo, Coventry. Only just realised it’s South African, not German. Clouded apricot colour with a slender white foam. Shrub, earthy grass, rubber, black pepper and sesame aroma. Good oily unfiltered lager with bread and sesame malt beneath thick sappy and lemony hop. Creamy mouthfeel maybe lacking a bit of sparkle. Slight dry-out to finish. Good.
