COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A mass-market brewery simply could not make a beer like this. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, and bursting with flavor, it has phenomenal body and freshness. Hazy to the eye, and full on the palate. 6 week brewing time. Barley, yeast, hops and water.

Bottle 500ml.

Unclear matt medium yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, pale malt, wheat - lager yeast and fruity notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, borring, sweet malt, light sugary. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120122]

For an unfiltered lager it is only the slightest bit hazy. A straw/honey colored pour. Big white head, creamy. Fades quick. Plenty of lacing. A lemony aroma with some pissy hops mixed in. Slight yeast aroma. A bit of fruit in the mouth. Lemon, bread, banana (slight) and a very yeast-like flavor. Almost like uncooked bread. Crisp, thin and dry. A bit of bitterness in the back. Not bad.

Bottle. Hazy lemon barley water in appearance with a white foam. Aromas are wheat and caramel with lemon. Banana and yeast with hints of metal. Flavours are caramel, wheat and biscuit malts with lemon and yeast. Lots of carbonation with a dry finish. Pretty good.

Bottle 0.5l. A light yellow clour with a high white shortlasting head. An aroma of hay, cereal and a littel earthy. The taste is light bitter.

Poured with a nice sized, foamy, frothy, off white head. Color was a hazy amber. Aroma was bread, yeast, cereal, malt. Flavor is like nose with a nice bitter/sweet balance. Body is good and so is carbonation. Finish is like flavor and short to medium in length. Not bad, although I’ve had a lot more distinctive "zwickels".

One of the first premium beers of the trip and for some reason the first picture i took of the trip... Aromas of crisp hay and cereal .. looks fantastic, great head and very good lacing .. quite a simple beer- cereal and hay follows into the mouth .. light creamy mouthfeel .. extremely well made .. i’m happy that damn fence is gone oma..

.5 liter bottle at PPRBSG 2010 brought by EDA I think? Pours a light golden with a fizzy head. Aroma is basic lager yeast, mineral light sulfur, stale oxidized malts and some light minty hops. Flavor is old crackery malts, stale old oxidation, paper cardboard and old toast with a lame finish. Meh.

20100515 Sampled at PilsnerPeter’s 2nd Annual Spring Gathering. Who brought this, EDA? I really liked this beer, so no doubt I’ll never see it again. Tart, yeasty lager that reminded me of Gose. Sourdough bread flavors, doughy aromas. Slick mineral late, a vinous, limestone quality. Some nice lemony tartness. Would make a very nice session beer.

Bottle at Peter’s 2nd annual spring gathering. Pours a clear amber with a small white head. Grainy and somewhat unpleasant. Pretty much a typical grainy lager, kind of nasty.
