Tap at the brewpub. The body was dark copper with a thick khaki colored head. The aroma was almonds and toast along with some oranges. The taste was walnus with some toast and citrus. A decent brew, but a little boring.

Draft at brewpub. Low aroma (kind of like a Vienna lager), appearance good. Good head retention. Most important the flavor was good. The favor wasn’t hot w/alcohol but I caught a buzz.

Not much aroma, looks nice. Flavor is oky, a little frothy. More malty than what I like, but good for my wife.

Meh. Nothing I haven’t had a bazillion times. Nothing to distinguish it from the other Amber ales that’s out there. Aroma is iced tea, lightly sweet caramel and clean hop. Appearance is maple syrup brown, little head. Flavor is more iced tea, caramel with a light piney hop. Very drinkable, but boring as hell.

Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear dark orange color. head was thin and off white without much lacing. Aroma and flavor was dominated by vegetables. Celery and grass were the dominant elements. There was also a bit of toasted bread. Dry and modestly bitter on the tongue. Wasn’t wild about this one.

Sampled in Truckee. A nice brew. Aroma was fair but the key was the appearance. Was very dark red with a thick head. One of the best amber ales i have had. Mouthfeel is smooth and the flavor is nice and hoppy.

Very good amber. The description said it had good caramel flavor. I didn’t detect any caramel at all whatsoever, but there was plenty of roasted malt present. A nice surprise. This was more of a light porter than it was an amber ale. Still very good though.
