On tap at the Brewpub. Pale yellow in color with a slight haze. Crisp and clean flavor. Nice balanced coriander/orange yeast flavor. Brewer denied it being a belgian style. He claimed that all his recipes were original 200 year old american recipes and "much older than any european beers." I’m guessing the style of this to be an american wheat, as the brewer refused to describe any of his beers by style. In fact, the owner of this place is a real asshole who seems to hate homebrewers or beer lovers. He’s a real argumentative weirdo, but he makes pretty good beer. If you go to this place, just drink. Don’t try to chat with the sonavabitch.

Thin, watery. Just like a American Pale Wheat Ale should be. Too bad I don’t like it.

They called this a witbier when I was there. Pours a very clear golden color, topped by a quarter inch of white foam. Minimal head retention, some spotty lacing. My wife ordered a different beer (actually a shandy), and I originally thought that maybe the glasses were switched. Okay, it doesn’t look like a wit, how does it smell? Pretty good - a spicy yeast aroma with a touch of orange. Does it taste like a wit? Yes it does. Tasty wheat, some orange tanginess, fresh yeast, and lots of coriander in the finish. Lightish body, good carbonation. Apart from looking like a pilsner instead of a wit, this was pretty good. It is served with an orange slice unless you ask them not to.

12 oz glass at the brewpub. Pale, lightly hazy gold with little head...orange zest, lemon, grains of paradise? and a touch of yeast in the slightly odd aroma...pleasant light, dry mouthfeel, feels like dry hops, bit cobwebby...crisp finish. Odd I feel like I had a totally different beer than JPDIPSO. Well, it was pretty decent in any case.

I believe it is now called a Wit. Lightly hazed light golden color with a diminished white head. Light floral and bananas mix with a mild wheaty, and pale malt aroma. Very mild flavored. Mild malt and wheat with a floral component. Too thick in feel. The more I have the more this one seems to have a malt liquor flavor that I can’t quite pin down. Still a decent effort on a difficult style.
